Flowering with Cree bulbs

Thought I would throw up a couple pics of my TGA dwarfs, looks like they belong in the party cup comp. I topped my Pennywise and Quantum Kush plants as soon as they were big enough so I could sex them. Put the tops in a bucket cloner under 12/12 and they rooted and sexed in just over a week. I decided to just throw them in some dirt and flower them out for testing. Only got 1 out of 5 female Pennywise but got 2 out of 3 Quantum Kush's. They are flowering under Cree BR30's.TGA dwarfs 001.JPG TGA dwarfs 002.JPG

nice bro.. is that the critical kush in that scrog? i dont want to look back.. :P

I think my quantums may be the same phenos as your left and middle ones in the pic. Im basing that on the node spacing. I could be wrong. Ima update my thread soon. Its been so hot here I dont want to do anything.

That's a Critical Kush in the scrog.

In the pic earlier the Pennywise is in the middle.
I think that I've got two phenos of Quantum Kush.
One is taller and has browning pistals from top to bottom.
The shorter one only has a few brown ones on top.
They have slightly different bud structure too.
One has rolled up leaves and the other ones are rolled down.QK phenos 001.JPG QK pheno 001.JPG QK pheno 002.JPG

Chopped the CK last night and it looks good,it's on a 27" square drying rack. I found out that my XGS was being driven lower than it should have been,165 watts at the wall. Jeff said that the drivers were not adjusted to the right level and he gave me a choice of sending me out some new drivers or trading it in for a new XGS version when it comes out in 1 or 2 months or keep it the way it is. Nothing wrong with it,it's just driven a little softer so it's a little more efficient too.CK XGS chop 001.JPG

Nice link! I want to upgrade my T8s to LED

Looks like the Cree T8s need electronic ballasts. I wanted to put these in my kitchen but I am betting I have magnetic ballasts.

that's where it gets expensive. A fixture to run those. Home deps doesn't carry any of those ballasted fixtures. Maybe they will when those are released.

Well I've got a final number for the CK scrog under my softer driven XGS with the added Cree bulbs,197 grams. Hard to gage exactly a real grams per watt since I didn't add the Cree bulbs until it was well into flower. I'd like to see what a XGS at full power would do by itself but I'm still going to wait and see what Jeff is going to do with the new version of the XGS before I decide what to do with mine.

did you change the settings on the XGS or is that factory standard

So with bulbs and softly driven xgs what do yu estimate the draw in watts ??★★★kushed_out★★★
The XGS is drawing 165 and the Cree bulbs 76 so 241 total but I didn't add the Cree's until about 3 weeks in,after all the stretch. If you split the Cree bulb wattage,it's close to a gram per watt.

It was a mix up during assembly, The drivers have a internal adjustment that wasn't set right for the XGS so it's driven a little softer.

I think Jeff said that it's happen one other time, the other one was driven harder at 230 watts and the customer decided to keep his the way it was.

My mini TGA's are almost ready. First is a single pic of the pennywise, she's got some amber and is ready to go. The rest are the two different phenos of Quantum Kush,3 of each pheno. The QK's are not quite ready, they have different bud structure and one is getting some nice color to her leaves. I'll be testing these along with at least my Critical Kush.
