And if you look you can see 50 articles on how they die younger... Ill make you a deal you eat what you want and i'll eat what I want. But don't try to shove the vegan lifestyle down everyone's throat and call us murderers for doing whats natural and what we are designed for. I couldn't give less of a crap if you only eat what my food eats...

No one did. Once again, the op asked a question and got called names and put down because of a personal choice. I showed up to defend him. If you read through my posts you'll see I consume meat. A lot less than the average American but I still eat it.

Yes, starving yourself of necessary nutrients is a mental illness. Your body was designed to eat meat. Although I fully agree most people eat way way too much.
What nutrients only exist in meat which cannot be found/derived from plants?

You say our bodies were designed to eat meat, I say maybe they weren't. I support my position with this: The Comparative Anatomy of Eating.

I really like opinions, but I like them much more when they're supported with something other than more opinions.

I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. Eat meat, don't eat meat, it's really not my concern. Until someone 'boasts' about being a vegetarian, why boast about eating meat? Why the hostility, bro?

Going with organic meat would help you probably just as much as cutting back, but cutting back is not a bad thing. And you sir are known as an Omnivore, or All eater. So do not be like vegetarians, and vegans. As humans meat is an essential part of our diet, if it wasn't we would be Herbivores. The teeth are a clear piece of evidence that vegans are going against natures way. And People who eat absolutely no meat tend to die younger from a study I read a while ago. Keep a lot of peanut butter on hand of your gonna drop meat, because your body needs the protein.
I went apeshit alright...Absolutely F'ing crazy I tell ya

Ah, the old vegetarian thread again...such a repeated and popular subject here.

Speaking of meat, has anyone tried horse?. Seems every time I turn on the travel channel someone outside the U.S. is consuming it.

I've had wild boar, ostrich, kangaroo, and elk...but never horse.

Better than cattle or no?.

56 grams of protein for an active male sounds low. I consume almost my weight in grams to stay in shape.

Shame you don't live in the UK - horsemeat everywhere. It must taste like beef. http://www.theguardian.com/uk/horsemeat-scandal

I'd bet money that horse meat is healthier than the beef in the stores.

No hormones and grass fed all their lives.
..dependant on the origins of the horse. I'd suggest the ones sold for slaughter are raised in some filthy-ass barn somewhere, much like cattle.

Not to mention ones used for horse racing that have been loaded up with all types of drugs.

A nice horse from an amish farm would probably be some good stuff but they are very muscular so i can only assume itd be tougher than the usual steak. Especially one thats used for work.

You'd kill a horse trying to feed it the shit beefers eat and they're not pumped up with steroids. A lot of horses that end up at processing plants are old unwanted pasture pets.
