Aye, my uncle is a drilling ops. supervisor for a major oil company up there. He got assigned to Russia last year but Russia was too much and they left after a few months. I had a dream the other night, my first about AK itself. I had this badass Perception Kayak that I had been looking at on Craigslist the night before, I jumped in it, pushed myself into the water and headed upriver to this glacier... at the foot of the glacier was all the broken off ice and such, really pretty even in my dream, and I had a huge spliff in my mouth just a smoking and gliding silently through the mini-bergs... with hills and mountains towering over me and a fresh smell to the air, I'm a nature nut and I know you'll understand! Anyways, I sent my uncle $400 the next day in and got him to buy the Kayak so it didn't sell before I moved up. It's a beautiful 15' one seat with spray guard and a Werner paddle.
