Do you believe Ganja is the tree of life?

The tree of life is mentioned several times in Genesis and Revelations.

but yes, the tree of life is mentioned, but I believe it to be a metaphor rather than to be taken literally, but thats just me.

A fruit is the part of the tree were the seeds are : the head of the female plant.
The leaves have healing properties but do not alter your perceptions.

the metaphor is something like men are ignorant and dont know their own sins or something... idk but there is a growing population of people that think the bible is an entire metaphor and allegory story book that was just stories to learn morals

i knew that the seeds were the fruit of the plant i just doubt anyone even the first supposed humans would eat the seeds

Lots of the bible is metaphor, but lots is not.
How do you see 'thou shalt not kill' as a metaphor? And 'thou shalt not steal'?

no i dont see it as a metaphor i see it as "you shouldnt kill" and "you shouldnt steal"
like i said people think it was like a story book

when they claim that people who read the bible and smoke ganja are sinners, and those that do not puff, but do not believe are ok - then they are hypocrites.

Read Genisis and Revelations carefully and extract all references to the tree of life. Then approach the false christians and 'ask them what is the tree of life?'

it also says in the very last few verses of revelations that those who remove verses from the bible will have their share of the tree of life taken away from them. Thus all honest people are meant to have some of this plant. What else could they mean?

i do know that its widely believed that jesus brought cannabis to a "paste-like" form and covered people in it for healing properties
the thc would get absorbed into the skin and everyone would get baked
people with glaucoma would be cured of blindness

i'm not sure what u mean. what i am saying is that the tree of life that the bible talks about has to have some meaning. I can only give quotes because it is the bible that is talking about some tree which 'gives knowledge of good and evil' Its just a simple claim about a plant. Not much to analyze.

What i am asking is what else can these biblical quotes mean? No metaphor springs to mind. It is talking literally about a plant where the fruit and the leaves have differing effects.

What bit would you like me to analyze exactly?

If people lie about their claims to having read the bible (false christians of the courts) they then live in a state of false consciousness, and thus when they puff, they lose their mind and cannot smoke to get high anymore. is that wot u r getting at?

How can u have a religion that does not effect you moral outlook on the courts? Surely the notions of good and evil are intrinsically in the bible and the courts? Surely the legalisation issue is the biggest moral dillema all ganja puffers have?

Start all you want : my christian beliefs are not dogma, I debate them and will change my opinons if you can convince me using logic or philosophy. The Bible, Koran, Dharma Padda, Baghavad Gita, Sun Tzu's ancient art of war, are all incredible books of philosophy to me. To be debated, disagreed with, embellished upon and compared.

well there is the issue with separation from church and state
i actually agree all religious books have some good writing in them but i am in NO WAY religious because of what you said that modern day Christians are liars and non Christians and actually, largely sinners
also i believe the church and its history is inherently wrong
i dont think that religion and the court system should ever be together because then women would be in jail for nearly everything =]
and i didnt really get the part about not reading the bible then smoking and unconsciousness or w/e lol

well cain was kicked out of the garden of eden, unable to see his family, his tree was taken away
so if you are bad your family will go to heaven while you go to hell alone without your family (tree)

you must then believe that truth is vital and that sin is a bad thing. So you accept some of what it says.

The new testament does not condemn women, the story of 'let he who is without sin throw the first stone' regarding the adultress proves this. The importance of forgiveness does to. The new testament overwrites the old. That is vital.

but I agree with you. Modern women are all sinners. Its a disgrace. But I think its always been like that.

those who talk lies about the bible will not be able to get high. the false christians who condemn ganja fit this exactly. they could only be against it for personal reasons. they project their own sins onto ganja, instead of taking responsibility onto themselves.

christ also says in Mark, Luke and John
'nothing which goes into a mans mouth can defile him. it is that which comes out of his mouth that defiles him' (IE lies)

Thus no substance can make you sin. What else could he mean here?
