dark cycle light cycle repair recovery

It is known that FLOWERS/BUDS develop much more during the dark cycle But what else is really known about the dark cycle? My question is.... When recovering...from stressors.... Does that happen chiefly or mainly in the light cycle.. Or does all this occur during the dark cycle? Chime in...
