Z7, Snow Goddess, Tora Bora under CMH & LEDs

light leaks are a myth. look at outside.. stars, moonlight, city lights. I've always had some sort of vague light leak. No matter how hard I try Another one seems to pop up.. I have never had any issues with growth to light leaks. Some strains take longer than others to start flowering and finishing. My nlxog starts flowering 3 days later than my cheese berry. Some plants take too long to start flowering because they have too much nitrogen. Now letting large amounts of light in or using a green light to work at sleepy time will cause issues. Plants do absorb green light as well as reflect it.

Red light early on will cause males or hermies. or its just genetics and or grower error and people blame the light leak when that's not at all the case. If you use fem seeds . You have a big chance of getting hermies regardless of environment.

The Tora Bora is pretty purple.... not sure if that is a deficiency..... she's really resinous

In pretty good shape except one of my lights is starting to not fire in the morning. Bummer, I love these lights. I have an email into the mfr. they responded quickly to my last email. If it don't fire in the morning, I'll put a couple of LEDs in there until I get it figured out, but I'm a bit miffed about. This is the first grow for these lights.


Having said that, these lights grow pretty good weed seems to me. I'm still 2-3 weeks from harvest. I wonder how much bulk they'll actually put on...... The Tora Bora isn't going to yield a ton, but it only got a couple of weeks of veg. But the 303 plants are getting fat.


there is new green growth at the top of the Tora Bora colas.... Weird to see with all that purple (almost black). I wonder if I did have an actual deficiency....

And finally, the next line-up - all 303. 2 feminized Meltdowns for my CBD stock and the Aurora project (Northern Lights) for fun. Beautiful seedlings. Anyone want any males that turn up?

oh....wtf is the point of a scrog if you still have to stake up the colas?

Day 53 of flower. I swapped bulbs in the 2 fixtures and lights are firing fine now. I lowered the lights down some..... a couple the colas are only 4-5" from the bulb now. I'm going to see if they burn, if not that's where they stay through chop, just bringing the lights down 6" made a discernible difference in light intensity on the plants.

Day 56 of flower. The high THC Indica gal is ready to go - trichs are mostly amber. The Tora Bora looks ready too.... kind of, but the sativa is not ready, trichs are 75% clear, but I'm thinkin of going ahead and harvesting her as I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that if you chop a CBD rich plant early, you get an improved CBD yield..... not sure I believe that, but I could maybe shed some light with an early harvest.....

Having said that, I'm kind of curious to see what the Indica would do if I let her go another 2 weeks, I will likely lab verify her THC content also (21% last time). I will definitely post the trimmed buds wet weights and preliminary g/w numbers based on an 85% reduction in cure...... I predict decent numbers.... and don't forget, I lost (a moment of silence for the poor z7) a plant and another one only got a few weeks of veg.

btw my crop is fully ripe. Day 60 somethin. The CBD Snow Goddess is uuuugggglllyyy, but that's no surprise - she was ugly last time too but good meds.

harvest this weekend, then I'll post up wet weight numbers.

Harvest is complete and jarred. The only plant I can really compare to the last grow is the CBD Snow Goddess. She produced about the same under these lights as under the LEDs, but the nugs are frostier this time and more dense IMO. Which is cool because I really like the "sunlight" feel from the bulb.

I trimmed differently this this time also - only kept tops, the rest are destined for the tincture bottle. But even so, I would say it grew even on weight. I'm a noob grower and made plenty of mistakes.....

1,342g wet weight buds
134g dry cured buds = 5 oz
1,261g wet weight high quality trim (no fan leaves, only lower buds, popcorn buds and sugar leaf)
