I have 4 pair of the micro sharp Fiskar shears.... when one gums up, I put it to the side and grab a fresh one. As lost said, rubbing alcohol is a great solvent for thc... some people will use a razor and scrape clean the shears before using alcohol. The scrapped off material can be smoked, but I don't bother with that or finger hash.

I scrape off the gum and then use a paper towel and alcohol and rub it clean. I also have 4 scissors so I don't have to stop and clean every time it gets build up. Once I'm done, I then clean them all at the same time.

Hold a lighter an inch or two under the blade of your scissors, when it melts a little or start to bubble/smoke, put down lighter and carefully inhale vapor, wipe with clean paper towels...You'd be surprised at how clean they get once you heat the resin/hash before you wipe it off. This is good through a couple good trim sessions, then I just buy more. I get snips at the 99 cent store, they work well and are practically disposable since they're so cheap.

Fiskars are the way to go... the Micro point ones..... They even got an award from the Arthritis Foundation, because they are so easy on the hands.

And whomever claimed alcohol won't clean off the residue and gum from trimming, I'd have to seriously question your 'experience'.. rubbing alcohol does work, and quite well I might add. :)
