before i start again, the image of the plant that went crispy was doing better than the other two plants, they all recive the same attention so to speak, yet one is doing ok. i dont understand how they died but one? im really starting to think thatt mayb its not due to heat. should i chuck the dyin plants and keep the plant thats doing ok, and because its survived thru all this it must be strong? shud i wait and make clones rather than replanting? let me know x cheers. if any of u guys want any pictures of anything in the room please ask x

Oh I see it now. looks like you grabbed gravel from outside? probably didn't wash it right and it had some harmful residues or salt buildups that killed her.

probably luck of the draw or genetics allowed her to live past those terrible conditions. X.x spend the 5 dollars on perlite next time you cheap bastard.

what wattage is the cfl again? young plants dont need big lights to grow quickly and healthily, jus a gd environment with lots of light, after 3 weeks in veg then put her under the hps again, id say 125w blue spectrum is ideal for 1 plant , its the way i wud go if my temps wernt maintained by my hps.

planted some new seeds, let germinate under cloth for an extra day this time allowing the white root to grow longer before planting, i then planted them a little lower than last time and they have grown much taller and healthier than the last batch, the surviving master kush is doing well, got some new picks to show, just ordered a humidity and temp. combo, so i can post up the readings with cfl's and my hid. hope people are still with me on this, feedback on the video and images would be lovely. jx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uA6i26mtUg

Wow man, you really need to get your lights closer before your seedlings stretch any more than they already have. Those are some lanky mofos! You might be fine with the HID on, but seedlings really only need cfls for the first week. I would also suggest getting a pH meter if you don't have one.

because the hid creates such heat stress, i tought mayb i should only use it when the plant is in its 12 month cycle, and use the cfl's till that stage. ph meters a good idea, ill invest in one right away! x

ok, with the cfl's the room temp is 77 farenheight and the humidity is at 40%, going to try with the HID 400w in a couple of days and will post my readings, just waiting for them seedlings to be strong enough, what do you think, isnt this too cold? x

Since you're using cfl's for now, get those lights a couple inches away. Those babies are stretched. You can bury them up to the last set of leaves.Get a fan blowing gently on them and get them strengthened up.

the only problem with it being any lower is that it will be on the taller plant, ive lowered it as much as i can, they dont seem to be growing up as much now, i think they have done their initial growing ive been streightening them with me finga's! but ive got the intake fan blowing on the a bit aswell for a gentle push. what do you mean bury them to the last set of leaves? put more soil in? they only have one set of sprouting leaves? im confused. when i put the hid in the temp with most likely rise by about 15 degrees c. but then so will the humidity. with this be ok? x time for a well deserved :joint:

he means repot them in a bigger por then add soil up too the bottom leaves so the stem will shoot out more roots and then u can try and grow it abit shorter with some clf for shorter node spacing i think that is correct

What farmer said...and I'm a girl.:D You can get fixtures so you can surround the plants with cfl's,so just get some y splitter sockets and put a few lights down on the little ones. They will continue to stretch towards the light for as long as they grow, that's why you should keep it as low as possible. And get another fan,and have it blow gently back and forth directly across the plants. The gentle swaying strengthens the stem.

with the HID on the temp is reading at 35 celcius, kinda bad i guess, plants seem ok tho, only just put the light up. for some reason the bigger plant in the bigger pot is drying up much faster than the small pots! wtf? soaking up more water or something i guess. anyone out there?
