How big do you guys let your plants get before you plant them outside?

My preference is between twelve and fourteen inches ..Large root ball starting to bush you know, when I myself put them out before that i have had trouble with them dying before they harden up...word to yo mother

how bout if u were to just put em outside still in the same pot u were using inside maybe a little before twelve inches??

I have done that but i put them out in the morn and bring em in at night and the hottest part of the day till they get buff
