I have just grown 4 super critical autos, yielded 2oz per plant. Is this a fair amount for autos? First grow experience has been interesting.....and end result is amazing 
yield of autos??

Most people get around 1oz per plant "dont quote me on this but from what ive seen" and for your first grow thats pretty good. Smoke Report?

Depending on the auto you can get from 0.5-4oz or more on some. For your first grow, 2 oz per plant is amazing.

Def THE BEST smoke I've ever had.....great flavour, strong & hard hitting. Very dense buds, full of trichomes. Stinky!! I am very proud of my first attempt.....will be sticking to these seeds for sure. Easy peasy!!!

high yield is not expected from autoflowering strains since they do not veg for long and they grow short.
just an info:
for fast bud #2, the average yield is about 30 grams. 70 grams for the auto original amnesia and 40 grams for the autoblueberry strain

I expect solid yields.2 ounces is a good yield.I've seen many growers of photo period's get less than 2 zips a grow.I average closer 2 three, some strains you just cant get more than 2.5 zips and some i average 4 oz a plant.Auto's do it quick with great highshigh yield is not expected from autoflowering strains since they do not veg for long and they grow short.

ummm ya check out taviddude's grows
personally i expect 2 oz's but often get more i think taviddude is expecting 4-6 a plant out of his setup if i remember right

Oh yeah, took a fair while. These seeds are marketed as 7 week finish. It took 15 to get them to this stage. Maybe a bit less if i hadnt f****d up at the very beginning. Lessons learnt. Cant wait for my new seeds to arrive.
I was so unsure about times to harvest etc, that I left them & left them. I figured if they start to look like shit I'll chop them...they never looked shit. Lol.

Yeah very good you waited, a lot of new growers and old ones pull too early, theres nothing really wrong with it but your not growing your plant t its full potential that way. Last week or so it gives an extra burst that increases yield and potency. Once I came across this in the forums thats what i stuck too
we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

Thats the post I came across also. Def worth waiting. It was the best smoke I've ever had. Obv whoever was growing the stuff I've been buying has been harvesting waay too early.
It was VERY hard for me to leave til that stage but I'm glad I did. Everyday was a struggle not to just chop it. Lol!!

I have only grown the Lowryder2 strains which is Lowryder X San Garia (I beleive). So I only know what I have seen and read about autos online and threw a few friends. However I have seen many grow logs on autos.
Yields of autos do depend on strain grown, light, and if it was indoor or an ourdoor grow.
Some strains should really only be grown outside. and can yield up to 3lbs per plant. YES I SAID 3 POUNDS. Prolly be some arguments over this but from extensive research online and grow logs and such. It is possible but only outside in the correct conditions. Which means location on the map has part to do with it.
I have also seen a few grow logs which were grown un LEDs and yielded almost 3 oz a plant. But I think that was strain dependent.
The average seems to be around 1 - 2 oz a plant depending on how they are grown.
Some people bash on autos. I dont understand why. I have smoked a few different strains and some were amazing. Also they are easy to grow. 1 tent 1 room one patch outside. Could get you massive yields if layed out correctly. If you shoose a shorter strain that only yields an ounce and doesnt grow all this big how you set up your grow room get ultimatley get you more weed then a normal strain of cannabis. AND also get it faster then growing from a clone or seed.
The only issue is you can not clone autos. Well you can but not worth the time as the clone is the same age as the mother and will still flower. The best bet is create a great layout that can manage multiple plats at a time if not in layers. Run a seed grow collect the seeds and when stocks on seeds get low. Do another seed run.
autos have great potential. From what I have seen. This being said. I have full switched to autos. I will be growing seeding crossing and breeding autos from now on.
Oh and did I mention some strains can grow upwards of 9 feet. most hit 3-4 feet but biggest I know if was 9 feet. and yes that was an auto. yielded almost 3 lbs.

Yeah, not being able to clone auto's does suck. I just pulled my biggest bud ever.
Made a gallon nutrient bottle blush.
Would have loved to keep that going.
I keep telling myself I'm going to try some photo strains so that I can find that special mother and have more uniform grows, but everytime I find an op with a similar setup they aren't pulling more than a qp per plant with photo's in 90 days from seed no matter how hard they try. Not saying they're the best growers in the world, or not. They have similar turnaround times, and similar hydro setups.

From seed to harvest in 90 days NO PHOTO PERIOD PLANT will outdo a Think Different auto.
If I was only focusing on one plant and ran 1200 watts on it I would expect 8-12 ounces.
If there's a photo plant out there that can do that in 90 days from seed to harvest I haven't seen it.
Some people will argue that the quality would be garbage but it's simply not.
Think Different is Killer weed, period.
It kills me to hear that auto's don't yield when it's the single reason I can't bring myself to make the switch.
Not being able to clone sucks.
Running 12 plants from seed is a bitch. Each one has different needs. Humidity, nutrient profile and strength, temperature, light intensity, stretch, and finishing times are different on each plant.
You're stuck doing a world class balancing act playing the middle with everything where if you were running clones you could dial in perfectly to all plants at once.
Both have their advantages, but auto's can yield more in a shorter period of time than photo's could in the same space with same setup.
