my plant is 4 weeks into flowering. its completely healthy looking and buds are getting noticeably fatter each day. should i add nutrients to increase yield? or should i expect high yields simply by keeping her healthy?

Nutrients will help keep her healthy.
you can expect a slightly lower yield if not fed properly During flower.

is it normal for her to have a 2/3" of space between buds on main cola at 4 weeks?
Pics ? Depends on the stretch, I would like to think so because it needs time to grow. Your not going to get one huge bud right away covering up the whole stem. Nutes will help depending on your growing medium. Also you have to consider your lights. Growing big fat buds depends on all factors are ideal. Don't forget training/genetics.

If it looks healthy but is growing slowly, you could try to increase your temperature. The growth rate (yield) will depend on the environment and the strain, as 420burn has said, and can really only be decreased from some unknown maximum by deviations from ideal conditions. Personally, I only increase nutrients if the plant looks deficient. I never try to make a plant grow faster or slower, just to maintain ideal temperature, water, and nutrient conditions such that the plants aren't turning colors prematurely or showing nutrient burn.

If it isn't deficient, don't add extra nutrients or p boost products. Can possibly cause a toxicity and lower yields.

Genetics, environmental, medium, light (quantity, quality, duration) are bigger factors than ferts when it comes to yield
