I've run the stinkbud type system and the coco and I honestly think the stinkbid was easier to deal with. If water temps too high a frozen gallon jug a day usually gets you where you need to be. Hand watering 20 plants sucks. I used to just go and sit w/ the girls and stare when I did hydro cause nothing needed changed. Hydro is stupid easy once you get it setup. A ppm meter is so you can check nutrient levels in a res. as they fluctuate - not so you can know the ppm of stuff you just mixed up. Personally, I'd stick with feeding schedules so long as your doing soil - keep track of everything in a book and you can use it to adapt your feeding schedule as you go. Even with hydro you don't *need* a ppm meter - keep track of what you fed and how it worked; it's going to be pretty much the same next time.

Soil is slower to respond than hydro - seems to matter a lot more in flowering than veg. In veg you can literally just feed the plants based on how green they are.

um yeah, right, guesswork is always the best way.

I'd start off in ProMix if I were you. 3 gallon pots, 2-3 week veg. under a dimmable 600.

Build yourself some 4x4 slanted tables so you can water and drain to waste. 9 plants per table, 3 lights 3 tables in bloom. 600 or 1000 watters.

Add an aero cloner into the mix and you've got a 3 week perpetual and you don't need mothers.

You won't hit a pound every 3 weeks but it will be something to shoot for.

so its useless! i figured it would be to easy to find a unit that can do all or most of what is needed! thanks super! any units you recommend? i want to be able to monitor everything, even if it isnt tech needed for the system i go with, just nice to log where things are at certain times to reallly see what anything added does! thanks again bro

what you are asking for comes with a price, around $2200+ to start. i looked very hard at complete automation and different control systems for growing. i know there are a few newer systems out, but last i looked, growtronix was the best and it was going to be close to 3k+ and still would need more addons down the road. i decided to save my money and use the basics. i use a cap ppm 3 for co2 and a cap recycle timer for pumps but everything else is self built or normal houshold usage items. i spend an average of 15hrs per week on my grow that has 12-14 plants getting harvested every three weeks, it pretty much runs itself.

Do you run seperate rooms? and what system do you use? im sure youve put your own tweaks to it to make it yours, as i want to do. i agree about the price thing to man, thats way to much maybe after a couple years of some good grows it would be worth the investment. i feel like from all the reading organic/ soil would be the best maybe with some coco to add & i also seen some CO2 tablets not sure if you know if those work at all. I feel like for the yields i want i need CO2. i have some i got some nice stuff coming too bro. brainstorm, barneys cheese, barneys vanilla kush, and blackjack. figured i would start the collection early man... haha good looks on the response bro for real

also had a quick question as far as for the dimensions given for usable space. what do you think max wattage should be for the system
