Yes , but they kick out a lot of heat and making it harder to kool themselves n making them less efficient
I can vent the loft its in,would that work?......im in a 10×12×10 room,I currently vent through ceilin into the loft and NEED something that can kick out more than a standing unit.......wot would you recommend I use.I burn 6 light's in that space but I have veg room next to it with anouther 2 light's that I would like to benefit from a.c. as well.....

Mini splits are great , but I would really try to mount the unit outside. But I’m not sure of your setup
If this isn’t possible, then mounting in the loft can work.
You say you vent into your loft?
Are you removing the water for the air ? If you vent a grow into a loft or attic , you are asking for mold.
More details would help

My house is a one level with a massive loft and built in garage (wich is wot i use)and a newbuild so it is well vented....I also live in scotland with good quality air in the first place......I've never heard of anyone getting mould through venting into loft........but.......yes.......I do use a filter ..........I've got a 8000 btu stand alone a.c. but its doing very little ,hence my dilemma. ......usually my temps sit around 10c above the outside temps.......wot would you use....?

I use a mini split , but I keep the condenser outside , I run mine 24/7 - 365 , if your not in a apartment etc , you should put it outside . Why is there a need to hide it ?

hi man yes you can hide the outdoors units inside a room, but it works better in cold climates.
with 30 degree or more outside, you need to bring fresh air more often. if you dont, inverter will hold on but your efficiency will go down.

if you only do few lamps why dont go with bottled co2 ?
less heat and moisture in your room... 1 ton will cover your need in these conditions i guess..

sorry for my english

Managed to upgrade my intake and extraction ......Temps r controllable now......thx guys..
Chiming in here, late but still. Your venting into an attic” loft” area? I don’t care how good your air is ..... you are still asking for problems my friend. I’m not trying to bark loud or anything at you but that is just not a good idea. If you purchase a mini that is an inverter... it ramps up and down according to heat load it will help a lot. Ton and a half. IMO. Haven’t been growing long but I been keeping people and homes comfortable for a long long time
