Democrats, gun manufacturers battle over violence, white supremacy at heated hearing
Democrats battled with the leaders of several major gun manufacturing companies on Wednesday at a House Oversight Committee hearing focused on the role gunmakers play in gun violence across the country.

The hearing was held immediately after the panel released a new report that found gun manufacturers earned more than $1 billion from military-style assault weapons in the last decade. The report said that revenues for Daniel Defense and Sturm, Ruger & Company, two gun manufacturers whose CEOs testified at Wednesday’s hearing, tripled between 2019 and 2021.

'Charlatan' And 'Clown' Alex Jones Faces $150 Million Judgement Day For Sandy Hook Conspiracies
17,205 views Jul 27, 2022 Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones facing accountability for lying about children murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre. After Jones lost defamation trials, the case is now focused on how much he has to pay. Opening statements included parents testifying about the years of threats and harassment they've faced by people who believed the lies of Alex Jones. MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber reports on the case, and how the victims are explicitly trying to make the point that this is bigger than just Alex Jones. Longtime Republican strategist and Lincoln Project co-founder Reed Galen tells Melber, Jones "provides a safe space for incredibly destructive, strange theories. Charlatan and clown doesn't begin to say it.”

I own lots of guns and have a ccw with me every where I go. Its my choice to defend my family and myself. I do I legally, which the criminals do not. It's not that your a nut defending yourself. You just going to hope for the best if confronted by a thug?
i don't disagree with you, but the second amendment simply does not guarantee the rights that some people seem to think it does...a reasonable, thoughtful interpretation takes into account that there was no standing army at the time the amendment was added, and that the writers of the constitution feared a standing army, after seeing how they could be subverted in Europe.
there was also no expedient way to transport troops, what you had on hand was what you had...
"a well regulated militia" means exactly that, a government organized, trained, and ordered militia for civil defense....not every motherfucking frootloop with enough money to buy a gun...and no fucking where does it even suggest that it's alright to carry a concealed weapon without training and a permit to do so..."constitutional carry" my hairy fucking ass
republicans have the nerve to call themselves "originalist" and they have no fucking clue as to what the meaning of the original document is, they simply interpret it to mean whatever supports their views

You are entitled to your opinion, I do not need a peice of paper to justify defending myself if I need to. A criminal does not abide by man's law. It's an option if needed.

It's not to hunt with. I disagree with your opinion. Yes I do have weapons for hunting, and some for self defense. It's my god given right to protect myself from great bodily harm or death. You just happen to choose death.
dude, seriously? god given right? you believe in manifest destiny? the indians deserved to lose their land, they weren't developing it?....there are no god given rights...look in the bible and show me one passage where god says to anyone "you have the right to...."
doesn't it seem odd at all to you, that directly contrary to the republican's and the nra's claims, countries with stricter gun laws have less gun violence, across the board, without exception...and none of their governments have used those laws as an excuse to "take control".... ever...anywhere...again, directly counter to republican's claims.
