SO i just called the health department to find out when they are announcing the decision. I was told by that department that they are again delaying the decision with no reason as to why. So tell me, where is the compassion.

Naw, it was a cut and paste from the state's newspaper and I was just making light of the fact that people here in RI are a bunch of forum trolls who bounce around looking for validation... Ironcially, post was wrong....

Summit, Thomas Slater and Greenleaf got the centers...The most expesive ones with the most letters of recommendations from local politicians... Big shocker here..

Check it out and let us know what you think...http://newsblog.projo.com/2011/03/health-officials-select-three.html

Hello RI, welcome Cali prices with a third world income strapped state...lets watch them all fall...lol

Dude thats why they want to take our rights to grow away so they have no choice but make u buy your meds thru them. I have a understanding for the whole making u pay for damagesbwe do during a grow to a landlord. This shit i could see coming u all will have to stand up for yourselfs or u will only have the dispensaries to go to. Keep in mind there are caregivers out there trying to do the right thing, if u had a shitty experience with a caregiver in the past that is not all of us. Ive said it time and time agian me and my friends are fully in this to help people for 200 bucks a ounce u could sign.one of us up.there is also caregivers out there for as low as 50 bucks a o. The dispensaries have a ton of overhead and deep pockets to fill. I just hope we dont sit by and allow them to fuck us, personally i will never go to a dispensary, no need.

Am I correct in assuming that before CC's can grow they have to have patients assaigning them as CG's.?

I do know that any patient that wants to use a said CC has the Sign them up as a Caregiver to be allowed to use the facility.

I am very fearful that now, with the centers opening, our rights will be taken to produce our own medicine. Don't tread on me lil' Rhody...

The coverage of the dispensaries throughout the state is not even. everything is providence or south what about us up here in the northern half of the state? am i supposed to drive 35 minutes to providence to get medicine when they take my rights away to grow my own? i think not, this will just cause those existing patients who now grow for themselves to go back underground like it was 2005

There will be a center in Portsmith(spell check) and in Warwick

You are right about the Northern part of the state not being covered. Distance and accessibility for medically needy patients are extremely valid reasons for our legislature to oppose the current proposed modifications to law. Use these reasons in political calls (they are still needed) and consider testifying at the hearing this coming Wednesday. I believe both ASA and RIPAC are offering testimony training seminars--ASA tomorrow and RIPAC on Tuesday.

Best of luck to us all.
