Yeps---HPS(430w) Closet Grows - My Seeds - Border Haze & then some...

Decided today is the day to start my winter grow room and finish off the summer ladies in it.

Real easy set up.Basic 2' x 7' x 5' Grow space in 2 sliding door closet.

Lights - 400W HPS/MHTube grow lite with 400w Harvest Pro Elite Switchable ballast.Bulb - 430 w hps UltraGrow SuperLux bulb- on par with (Eye Hortilux Super HPS 430Watt Bulb)

Added a Equalizer Hot Spot Diffuser HPS 600/400

Grow Type - Soil with Organic top dressingMedium - Perlite -

Organic Soil - Potting Soil -Untouched from My seed plant grow last summer.

PEST-- They Have Been chewed on a little by little hard shelled black bugs and a couple flat brown bugs.

These are the seeds that I didn't find in the dirt, Grew... so a few months outside in 1-2 hours a day direct sun and this is what I have...

From SEED Border Haze
Super Silver Haze X Mexican Golden Sativa

Beans pop 6-24-12 - Outside
Water and minimum sun light only, through 11-12-12 - Outside

Moved indoor 11-12-12

I will see how it goes over the next few days.

Keep this simple -- Cut them down in stages over the next 4-6 weeks.

Figure Once I decide what seeds to grow over the winter.

I will veg them a good 5 weeks in a grow box. so I will have plenty of time to clean and debug the closet before I toss new ladies in.
This winters grow will be something in a PPK system with coco/perlite using jacks.

Found another couple buggers this am.
I would much rather deal with theses buggers than the borg...

I just crush them and leave the carcass as a warning to the others

I ran the light all night and am switching to 11/13 today.

Believe it or not there are 7 ladies in the bunch. Started with 11.
7 female and 4 male seems like a good Female lean for my seeds.

I trained them down hard one time to keep short and that really worked against me when the males showed.

Chitz be all twisted, balls up against the fresh females. lol
I really paid no attention to them for a couple months.

Got lucky because I only looked for males as a after thought.
Had the ladies buried behind other plants.

Looking close at the ladies inside a couple of them
clearly got no sun as they are just a branch with a few leafs.

Wondering if will grow to full size ladies if given the time under the lights.

I have a 150 hps sitting around.
After cutting the main colas,
I could do these ladies on the side of my main grow this winter.

Anyone have a opinion on if the smallest ladies would still grow
tall and full this late ? Should I play with feeding them ?

Wondering if after I cut the main growth in a couple weeks I might start feeding for a month or so and see what happens ...

For now molasses only a couple times...



All cleaned up and tied to stakes for support. Spread out a little
for better growth.

The lights are on and they look great. Just hoping they don't go
shocked a little from changing the lite cycle on them.
I'm going to run them at night for cheaper electricity and lower temps.

Temps running in the low 70's with just a small humidity fan and scrubber running.

Loving my DIY silencer for the scrubber fan.
Sleeping in the same room and was worried about the noise.
Its more white noise than anything else. Kinda peaceful.

I have had my MMJ for a couple years now. As anyone in a MMJ state knows all to well. We have some funny azz names and labels on everything we smoke. We also end up with boxes of empty pop top bottles. Once I filled a second medium sized box with empty bottles I only kept because of the labels,I decided it was time to trade the bottles in for joints. In California trade in 10 pop tops gets you 1 joint...I got 12 joints my last trade in. I started taking the labels and putting them on my stash box. Which at this point is almost covered and since most dispensaries seem to have change over the the hand written labels.I no longer really keep them any more and since my box is almost full anyways,,,, who cares...lol

Went ahead and popped a few beans from my collection.
Trying to decide what to grow this time.
I want to keep it semi movable ( just in case of a move ) and super easy. I don't want to grow Border haze as this 100+ stuff sucks for now.

I have a few seed here to chose from yet....

I came across quite a selection of great clones and seeds and am leaning towards a clone grow for smoke and a side seed grow.

Maybe 6-8 clones- Short veg for main Grow (430w Hps) and 2 clones and a male for seeds for a side grow.(150w Hps)

Only going to pick up one pack of seeds.

GS Cookies/ Platinum Master. GSC seem to be the new thing so why not give em a try...

The seeds I will pick up Monday and the clones in 4 weeks.
I want to finish BH and find my male.
I'm going to flip the seeds I'm popping now and see what goes male.
Hoping for a male KONG. Then re-veg everything till I'm ready for my grow.

So far....

3 x Blue Alaskan Thunder Fcuk
1 x Kong -- Needed help with the shell.
1 x Hawaiian Punch-- Bottom right center bottom cup is empty waiting for the next seed.

My simple set up.
To germ seeds I used a flat tray with 1/2 wet coco on a heating pad and a cup over the seeds add lite the 2nd day.

Once popped i use a fork to scoop coco with little lady into the coco wicked cup.
I keep the cup in the water for a few hours to soak then place cups 1 1/2" over the water with the wick feeding from then on.
I will use very lite jacks for veg.

Plan is to veg for 10 days and switch to 12/12 till they show then tag males and re veg till I pick up my clones.
By then then B.H. should be done and I can clean, tweak a little and set up the main grow.
Since I'm in a closet and might need to move them at anytime. I will keep them short. Once I get the clones it should take maybe 10 days to root the coco and flip them.

That's the plan anyways...

Sup Crazy.. Been a minute. How did those purps turn out for you? It is nuts around here right now with all the strains around. Everyone trying to get the next big thang. Great smoke on the cheap and seeds like we have never had before. Good time to collect as ya never know how long.Just wish I had a stable space to play with. Oh well make due , ya know... Closets filling in and moving alone and the popped beans look good as well. See if I can pick up the seeds tomorrow. Fingers crossed....So, ya got any ladies planned ? Sup, sup.... yeah man, been takin it easy lately on the growin but i got a little 12/12 from seed plant(looks like a half foot bud lol) out back just to play with. that purp started to reveg so i had to cut early, all the trichs were milky so that high was uppity as hell, the bho i made from the sugar leaf had the same high too, like the opposite of insomnia medicine lol.i bet everyone out theres hyped over all the OG strains out there, id for sure grab some tahoe if i could, maybe some GDP and urkle while im at it so i could bring it back to FL and do some breeding. and i hear ya on that, got all the beans but nowhere to put em. my problem exactly, waiting to get my hands on some property then ill go all out. i was thinking about finding a spot near by and going guerrilla next season, i got the strains for it so might as well.

Glad ya purps smoked good. I dig the up almost hyper strains from time to time. Everything has OG hints now and yeah everyone want OG this or that.lol So many names now.... Loven it... Some straight up knock your azz to sleep strains. If my BH is anything like the 1st SSH I'll be stoked. Need me a little wake time... Really lucky I still have her as I stated in the post tho the buggers did a number on my trim. Less oil. grrrr.... lol She's turning yellow and trichs are semi cloudy yet no amber yet and she is just starting pushing up white hairsso Im trying to give her another week.Still want to stage her and see how that works. I dig the Idea of a guerrilla grow next season yet I want a plant and forget kind of spot. Lazy...Well have a happy thanksgiving and I'll catch ya on the flip side...

yeah its all just names imo, i dont know much og except pre-98 OG bubba and the old tahoe cut. yellowin leaves that early could be a shortage of N(since that yellowing means shes looking for another source of energy), but if shes a week or two from finish adding N could just ruin product. thats how guerilla is though, so many people are down to do it but nobody is ready to put in the work, or the risk of having some cops follow you back there. either way, if its not on my property that shits a load off, FL doesnt play when you get busted with a grow.

The yellow is finishing yellow as this is 120+ day flowering. I never added any Nuits and watered from a hose. lol
For getting bare minimum lite,no ferts and hose water she is awesome. Took her a week under the 430 hps but
her is finally growing again. White hairs ready to sprout all over her...
Starting molasses feedings tonight... Cant wait to see what she could do if fed correctly. Ill have to wait till Im in a new house
for that. For now I just want a fast, dank, healthy grow under my belt...

Just watching as she fills in... The seedlings are 5" already and ready to take off... SO far so smooth.

I got a real nice selection of smoke right now and just got a pollen press so im playing with my new toy and making some hash from the grinder tray...

nice, were you usin anything good in your soil? shes still got some mass. that molasses will help out big time especially later on, hope it goes well yeps.

If I remember right is was the Fox farm mixed with my soil mix ( guano-lime and such) Never needed to add anything and I think I see
a little burn hear and there. Nothing that seems to have made a difference. The bugs ate a fair amount of fan leaf but she seems to
have survived quite well... Lack of light did the most harm yet... was free...

Got me a 5.5" Pollen press to play with...


I have a bunch of kief from my last grow that is tasting a little better
after curing for quite awhile... Looking to give to a friend next time
I see her as I will have better tasting/smoking/grown smoke soon enough and no long feel I need so much reserve on hand.
I have pressed out a few grams of fine shift and a few of semi fine.
Let it cure a little more in a dark cool drawer.


So I took a easy path to making my hash.

1st clean kief 100% dry
2nd Pack,pack,pack
3rd Put the lid on. Turn a few times.
4th Place on a coffee maker heat plate till warm
5th Smoke a fatty.
6th Twist slowly till my hands bleed.
7th I wait a hour or so and pop out.




I still have the SourD hash balls I made and smoked it a few times.
Smoked good yet no big kick azz buzz. real sneaker/mellow.
I will pass that along as well.

yeah FF packs enough for survival for sure, sometimes its too hot for seedling even in my compost, nothin perlite wont fix. remember the organicide recipe i gave you? i think i did at least, marigold leaves and ive recently started using rosemary in addition to mint leaf. all these plants are easy to grow and clone on your porch, companion growin with em would be even better. that hps wasnt enough for her? aint nothin wrong with some free smoke, thats for sure.
oh and are you thinkin about pullin off a scrog again? thatd be interesting, might help with the lighting situation too.
