Yellowish Tips, amazing Growth. Cant figure it out. ***PICS***

I have 3 plants.

They are at least 8 inches from the lights.

Running, 2X400W HPS side by side.

Its a cool 68 in their room so cant be heat.

The other 2 look beautiful.

I have been neglecting to nute them each week because i gave em a good dose after they first started vegging, then i gave distilled water 1x a week to keep salts and nute build up down.

They went from tiny to huge in 3 weeks so i had to re pot them from 3 gallon pots to 7 gallon pots.

I also got Fresh Fox Farm Ocean something soil.

They looked a bit droopy yesterday when i re potted but they 2 look like they found their new home.

This one, seems strong, but wtf is this yellowing!?!?! Probs nutes.?

I don't wanna re water them today, because i JUST watered yesterday, and shouldn't the new soil have enough nutes to pull it through till next week?

Light's too close. You have 800 watts 8" from your plant. The height should be in the 30" range.

even if its super cold? like we are talking nothing higher than 68 degrees? so your thinkling like a foot is too close to them?

neglecting??
salts dont build up in soil unless you over feed
flushing this way kills beneficial organisms, which adversely affect nutrient uptake/ph and plant health
when a new pot is dry add 1.4 the volume of water to the pot at once.
dont water again until you feel the pot dry again.
foliar feeding can be a save when roots are not being treated well.

i just mean i only feed 1x a week but they have only had 3 doses in 3 weeks because they became root bound so quick.

guy guys... one's telling me lights, ones telling me not enough and 1 is telling me too much.... how bout a fail safe solution. I truly cant think its nute burn because like i said its only ever had 3 doses in its life and distilled water.

He always says lights. It's not your lights. Every nutrient burned plant I've ever seen looks the same exact way. You're planted in soil man. You don't need to be feeding that much when the plants are that damn small. In fact, you don't have to feed a soil grow at all for the first 4 to 6 weeks depending on the size pot you plant in if your soil is worth a shit.

You'll see shitloads of plants that look just like yours. Burned all to hell from over feeding. It's the single biggest problem people have because they just can't help but feed a bunch of shit to their plants that their plants don't need.

Just turn it down a notch on your feeding. Anything burnt won't turn green again.

Rgr that, i'll just stick with ph'ed water for a couple weeks as the new roots take root.

Makes sense, the soil already has nutes, it was really only when i started their schedule they showed signs of burn.

Soil is the best for beginners, but it isn't foolproof. Most soil mixes have fertilizers in them already, it is recommended not to feed for the first 4-8 weeks of growth. After that you will notice a slight N deficiency which is the easiest to fix, from there measure your runoff for EC and pH and start your feed at 1/4 strength.

Sit back, relax. Soil is pretty much hands off which why it is so suitable to learn with.

800 watts for 3 plants of that size is too much light in my opinion for vegetation, best bet is to just run 1 until you flip.

They are probably just stressed

since you just watered, and repotted to a very good soil that has nutes built in, ide say give it a week. I bet they recover from stress.

what are your humidity levels for day and night?..doesn't look like nute burn to me..

I run 400s and 8" is close but 30" is way too far away. One is plenty for those size plants and 12" would be a strong but safe height for them. I've been running a 1000W about 12 - 16" from my plants for the whole flowering cycle but it's on a light mover so can be closer without burning the tops.

When they are ready to flower and if you have both MH and HPS run one of both during the stretch for best results then swap out the MH for an HPS or not. The combo seems to work really well for flowering.

Leaf tips turning brown can indicate nute burn but I don't see the edges of the leaves also doing that so it's not severe and if you feed water only for a while they'll be fine. Wait until you start seeing some light yellowing in the bottom leaves before starting up with the nutes.

Forgot to mention the leaf edges seem a little bit up which indicates some heat stress. Add that to nute burn and they start going all Taco on you.

I've never vegged or flowered a marijuana that was not filling the container with roots to twirling at the bottom in cups, gallon bags, 5 gallon buckets a garbage can and even a 55 gallon drum. Made no difference except piece of mind that my roots were able to reach 100% of every nutrient my dirt made for them.

It isnt the lights, if it was you would have signs of heat stress firstly and you would have bleached leaves. THe tips of the leaves are from nutrient burn, I suggest going lighter on the nutrients. Also you have some downward curl on your leaves you are overwatering slightly, which can cause issues all in itself. I feel your light is fine its your nutrients. Go lighter and you will be on the right track
