Yellowing leaves

I posted on a diff forum but didn't get much response so forgive me if you've seen my plants already.

My seedlings are about 5-6 wks old now - started in rapid rooters - moved to 4" rockwool cubes and just last week moved to 5gal pots with Hydroton.

I have been feeding 3 times a day now for 5min each time with 1gph drippers. They are under a 600w MH 18/6. Temps stay in the low 80's and drop to low 70's - sometimes high 60's during the dark time.

I'm using 1/2 strength nutes (what the bottles say for seedling) I'm getting some yellowing of leaves and looks like the plants are drying out - I need some help.

What's the Ph? There are a number of different deficiency symptoms shown, which often means a Ph problem locking out multiple nutes. If it's not the Ph, Potassium and Magnesium appear to be the biggest deficiencies. Even if it is Ph-related, once you get it fixed, you'll need to supply at least some of those two nutrients, if not just an all-around fertilizer.

I'd guess that you're feeding them nutes that are low in mg to begin with. Make sure your pH is in check like MF says and buy some epsome salt to give them more MG, just put a pinch per gallon in with your nutes. To treat them faster take some of your nutes that you have now, put a little in a spray bottle and dilute it with water to about 25% of your normal strength and add a drop of liquid dish detergent, shake the bottle up and spray them.

Now I'm going to talk out of my ass a bit, I don't know shit about drip systems, but 3 times 5 minutes a time? Really? I'd just leave the pump on.

Mother's/Japan, thank you for ths input - this is what I have.

The PH was a bit low (5.4) I've sprung for a nicer meter and will monitor this once a day. I adjusted the PH to 5.8. I also bought a PPM meter and as of yesterday I was at 140ppm.

I'm going to use Japans suggestion of feeding with a spray bottle for a couple days too...

As ar as the drip system Japan - its just drippers coming out of a rez to water the plants 3 times a day. The excess water does NOT return to the rez. This is just so i don't have to go there and water them by hand 3 times a day. I have adjusted the timer to 5min 3 times a day with 1gph drippers... I'm still not sure if they are getting enough or too much water.

**had to edit - I bought some epsome salt too and added that to the rez yesterday

looks like ph was out for a while. make sure its close to 6 with new meter to stop zinc etc lockout. give it at least a week for recovery.
