Now that seems more likely! I can't post pictures yet apparently but I googled and think those little rings could be egg circles, called "fairy rings"

I thought the same thing but you can see the damage clear to the underside of the leaf.

dirty bastards.

Possibly aphids they will cause black spots on the underside of your leaves like previously pictured, which then attract ants. Do you have ants around your plant or on the stalk?
