Yellow Leaves in the Buds

1st time growing, 5 weeks into bloom, and what I'm seeing is all of the larger leafs that are growing up in the budding part of the plants are turning yellow. It's like that part of plant decided it don't need no fuckin' leaves no more and they're getting sucked right out of existence.

They're all doing it so I suspect all is well, but if there's some kind of nutrient deficiency causing it I'd sure like to know.

I'm using GH nutes in soil. NPK is 4-8-12 ml per gal running 990ppm on a Hanna.

Its common for your canna's leaves to turn yellow in the last stage of flowering. It usualy starts at the bottom and works its way up, but I HAVE seen it do the opposite.

Remember...this is the end of the plants life, and all the energy is going into bud production. Dont be alarmed and try to feed it, as feeding now will make your smoke taste like shit.

Sit back and watch the beauty of nature work . :)

errrmm, let mother nature work? 5 weeks into flowering an 8 week plant he should not be freaking about leaves all turning brown and receding into the buds. That is not cool. That is not healthy. That is not what momma nature wants.

What medium?
How much light?

well rnt u a condescending snotty fuck? just the way i took it...for clarity.
I'm not being a snotty fuck. You could've been describing a real N-P-K ratio which would make helping you hard. Really nice reception to assistance. I can tell you are a really classy guy.

wait wait wait,EDIT --- I wasn't even talking to YOU.. thexception I was talking to the person who wrote those words. So are you offended for the original poster?

yes...u asked for more info, that was cool, but then u have to make a correction, like how dare he refer to the "crown jewel of fertilizers in such a neanderthal way". that is the way I took it.

Now let me ask u this, WHAT nutrients do Micro-Grow-Bloom represent in the Flora series? I could look it up online but I won't bother. And if u tell me, they stand for Nitrogen-Phosporous-Potassium, then my original comment about ur correction was right on track.

Wow, all of that connotation was in your head. I don't think flora series is the crown anything. I didn't call him a neanderthal - you did. You maybe drank too many energy drinks tonight. I don't know, but please butt out of my exchange with him.

Flora Micro - Nitrogen, Potassium, Calcium, and trace elements
Flora Gro - Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, and secondary minerals.
Flora Bloom - Phosphorous, Potassium, Magnesium, and Sulfur

You are as off track as ever. Please exclude yourself from this thread. You have taken offense and turned this thread into something it is not supposed to be.

Roots Organic 77 soil. Two 400 watters on 7 plants. Tap water that I leave out for 3 days.

I have 2 ph meters that don't seem to agree with each other so there is some confusion, but basically I'm using 1ml of ph down per gal which seems to be in the 6.0 range.

8" pots and they're using 40-44oz of water every 3 days.

what is the PPM of the tap water?
Where did you get this G-M-B recipe of 4-8-12?
how often do you feed this strength? how often plain water?

again, that is the way I took it, u came off condescending & correcting something that didnt need correcting, he didnt ask about the GH nutrients.

hate to break it to u, not only am I entitled to my opinion, I can express it as I please & this is NOT ur thread. I came here only to help not to correct which offered no help for this particular query. I haven't turned this thread into anything. Who do u think u r, telling me I should exclude myself from this thread.

Like most NPK nutes, these have other elements, still NPK nutes, again....how awful of him not to be so specific. Did u correcting him, help u to diagnose the problem w/the plants?

I am no longer going to comment to u & welcome to my IGNORE LIST. Now I will no longer see any of ur comments. because imo, they're a waste of time as r YOU.

225ppm out of the tap.

I arrived at the 4-8-12 based what I read on the bottles. GH recommends 1-2-3 tsp per gal. That'd be 5-10-15 in ml, but I thought I should keep it a little on the conservative side.

I've been dumping that load down their throats every 3 days! No plain water. Am I overdoing it and frying the upper leaves off?

Pics in the morning. fer sure ....

lemme get this straight... the bottle now says 5-10-15 mL ? and you do this every three days...
no plain water ever so far?
do you feed until you get water coming out of the pots?

your source water PPMs are too high.. Instead of Flora Micro, you should purchase Flora Micro Hard Water. but that will be next grow..

for now please answer the questions above...

i am analyzing your nutrient regimen. I know these nutes well and I think you are off the mark.

I wanna fix it up for you.

2.5mL 5mL 10mL G-M-B per gallon of water should be your bloom regimen.
0-2.5-7.5 G-M-B for your ripening formula.

This is based on the GH nutrient calculator for drain-to-waste.
maybe go to ripen on week 6.
Feed this every time.
Every time, get good runoff -- 10 to 20 percent of what you pour in should run out of the holes. You want it to pour out.

it is a bit complicated to keep the three parts straight when coming up with formulas for them. The other dude on here had a bad attitude, I think. My questions scared him, but I really had to get to the root of what is going on with your plants. I wish I had that dude's blind self confidence and my brain.. lolz
