yellow curling leaves

My plants are 20 days old, half the size they should be and now starting to turn yellow.. I used a mixture of seedling miracle grow soil with some really rich soil that i thought would be good to mix with from the bush (no pine trees around). I use creek water that looks pretty clean. 6 of them under a 1600 lumen CFL (soft white) and a i think 18' long LED thats for growing but maybe not for this. The plants are about an inch away it doesn't heat up..
I made a greenhouse outside that i'm going to try putting them in to see if that helps. The closet they are in isn't warm either and also very dry.
Any input helps, I was hoping they would be big enough by now to plant in the ground but they need more time/care. I will go buy whatever i need, thanks!

They look overwatered imo
Thanks for your reply. I don't think that is what it is because they have been going dry every few days then i water them. They have been going slow and i noticed when i pulled out the dead ones their roots werent even grown. I'm thinking i have a root problem with the soil but i'm no expert. I should of used store bought soil until they were big enough

Ok so that doesn't sound like overwatering, it really looked that way in the pics, but you probably took the pic after watering.

Now that i take a second look, your soil looks like shit lol, they are pretty much locked out and/or have root damage, cant speak for MG never used it and adding "really rich" soil to the mix doesn't sound seed friendly at all.

Just use a simple peat based potting mix, or buy some fox farms light warrior, try not to use random soil for seeds.

Correct, they were watered the night before. Well i hope they make it, I was really on edge about using random stuff for starting them. My last grow kind of went like this too because of the random soil i used but i thought it was my lights. Might restart ffff

I make up my own seedling mix. It consists of 8 solo cups of promix hp, 1 solo cup my fresh ewc and 1 tsp osf. The results are unbelievable. Here’s a pic of 2 Colombian Gold plants. The one on the left is in promix hp. The one on the right is in my seedling mix, and it’s 1 week younger than the other.

Can’t upload pic right now. Website is not cooperating. Will do it later.

What is ewc and osf? I'm not good with short terms yet I like doing things simple but I guess the seeds I got or weed in general cant be grown without extra care/research.

ewc is earth worm castings. osf is oyster shell flour. I’m organic and since I switched there’s no comparison to the quality of pot.

Start your own worm bin. Plenty of info on riu. I use Gaia Green products such as osf.

By far the best thing you can do for the best quality pot, is to start a worm bin!!
