Yellow, brown and dying leaf tips

My plants are about 3 weeks old. The first leaves are turning dark brown and dying. The second set of leaves from the bottom are developing brown and yellow parts on their tips. This is happening to only a couple of my plants. The others are fine.

I gave them some nutes about a week ago...the other plants seem o.k.

The FAQ says that is is potentially over-fertilization (especially N), over-watering, damaged roots, or insufficient soil aeration...I'd like to narrow this one down if I could.

looks like you ferted plants that were too young. only water when they are dry, however many days it takes. feed once a week.

Too young for nutes!

I think you have the combination of too much water and too many nutes. Flush and then let it COMPLETELY dry. err on the side of dryness. DO NOT do what somebody above suggested and water every day. ONLY water when needed and that's when you're dry. Wait until you think you NEED to water and then wait another day.

Different soil needs watering at different times, depending on its drainage and retention properties.
