XXXL Reflector vs. Regular reflector for 1000w, what your take?

XXXL Reflector vs. XL Regular reflector vs. Regular size.

My flower room is 8x11. Currently, I have 2 600w hps. I am going to get two new 1000w setups & still run 1 600w in between. New equipment = Two Lumatek 1000w digital ballast with Lumatek bulbs. Plant Count: still debating, but about 7-10 new plants each month with 60 day flower time strains. I need to have a constant crop. I have 2 caregivers and myself.

I am leaning towards the CAP XXXtreme 6": 33"x26.5"x9" (& lifetime warranty?). I found a pair online for $352 shipped to my door. Gonna see if my local shop can get it first.


I have done some research about the XXXL Reflectors, but would like your 2 cents.

Is there a such thing as too big? What your take?

The bigger the hood the bigger the light foot print thats pretty much all there is to it.. Magnum XXXL and Raptors give you about a 5' x 5' light foot print..I would definitely invest in the 8'' hoods so you can get a big 8'' fan to cool them shits..

I've heard/read that if you have more then one, to buy the 8". Other then that I think there pretty solid buy. Good luck and report back. I would like reinforcement to buy one myself :)

I been using them for a quite a while.. Love them I run 2000W in my sealed room with Raptor hoods.. Magnum XXXL are pretty much the same just a different company.
