WW Irregular leaf node growth

Hi everyone, I first want to just say thanks to everyone who contributes to this site and sites like this. I am forever grateful of the time and effort people put into sharing ideas and information and helping people when they can, its just amazing. Which is why I feel bad, becuase I dont post that often, I mainly just go through threads and use the search to find something I'm looking for but also because I'm not half as knowledgable as most people on these threads so I just try to learn.:blsmoke:

Which leads me to say that before posting this I did quite a bit of searching through threads and using the search to try to find something that looked even similar to this but just couldn't find anything solid.

The "Self Diagnose", "Have A Plant Problem?", and "Guide for diagnosing a plant" are all great threads of information, I just wish the pictures were still in some of them, maybe its just my computer but they have boxes with an x where the picture should be when I view the page. These are just a few I've visited but just wanted to mention them b/c they have good info.

But anyway after reading through various pages of information on deficiencies and pH problems and nutrient lockout situations, I still cant pinpoint what this could be. So I just wanted to say up front that I'm not the type of person who runs into a problem and just post about it, I try to use the information available first b/c thats the point of these great forums in the first place:hump:

Ok so I'll get to it, here's the run down. I know its best to provide you with as much info as possible so you can have a better understanding so I will do my best.

Strain - GH WW
Nutrients - General Hydroponics Flora 3 Series (when beginning nutes, added 1/3 strength of grow micro and bloom, and then 3 days later added another 1/3 strength of just grow and micro)
Hydro setup - Bubbleponic, 10 gallon res w/ 6 gallons of water, using 2 10" air stones and a water pump to the net pots
Medium - Hydroton rocks
pH - 5.5 to 6.5 (using GH up & down to regular, so far pH only goes up)
ppm - currently at 500 (also seems to go up)
Room temp - 68F @ night & 80F @ day
Res temp - 68F-72F (controlling with frozen water bottles)
Humidity 35-50%
Water - Began with tap water but had terrible pH troubles so swithed to distilled water and seems to be stabilizing (could be reason behind the problem)
Lighting - 400watt MH, started about 4 or 5 ft. away @ 24hrs of light for a week then switched to 18/6hrs and brought to 1ft. away
Ventilation - a supply from the a/c on one end of the room being blown towards the plants by ocilating fan and a exhaust window fan about 1ft from the plants (keeping the day and night temps very stable)
Roots - have established under the net pots and are now in the water (the problem plant actually has longer roots than the healthy looking plant)

So for the pics, I hope it works...The red circle is showing the deformed or just lack of growth of the opposite leaf, and the last 2 are of the other plant in the tub that looks healthy and of the same strain.

This is the one with wierd leaves compaired to the other one

i wouldnt even stress about it the plant looks healthy thats what matters, im growing some bubbleicious its roughly 6 weeks along now and it had funky lookin leaves until about the 4th or 5th set of leaves now everything is fine. or maybe some lucky bug got a nibble lol had that happen a few times as well

Ok pictures back up, I left one out b/c it was just a shot of the healthy one at another angle and it isn't the focus of the thread anyway...thanks everyone for your time

That's really what I'm hoping, I mean it seems to be growing, it just looks so much different than the other one and thier from the same seeds so it makes me worry a little.

I agree with nighttrain. They look fine. The leaf twist could be a sign of the nutrients being a little high, but within a day or two the growth should catch up with the nutrient level. As long as your PH is between 5.2 - 6.5 you can rule out deficiencies of any kind, especially since your feeding them with GH 3-part. You seem like a resourceful person. I have confidence your grow will be very successful. Good luck.

just keep an eye on it give it some time, especially since its only the one leaf thats growing like that. it might concern me if they were all growing like that but the other growth seems healthy. mind if i ask what your using for lighting? mine that were having deformed leaves were light deprived i believe thats what was causing the issue because i got myself a t5 lamp and soon as i lit that baby up the new growth has been healthy from there on out.

Update: I think you were right Scoobster, it may have been that one leaf because the new growth is starting to come out, it had a huge growth spurt last night and that made me feel a lot better. The fat leaves still are curling and twisting but not changing colors it doesn't seem so maybe its ok.
Light is a 400watt MH - 18/6hr

Now the question Im wondering is, can these 2 plants be the same strain?? I mean they are from the same batch of seeds but yet they look completely different to me...?? Is this normal when the conditions have been the same for each plant considering thier in the same res and same room and all??

They could be the same strain but its impossible to know. Because of the many hybrids used in breeding today even close relatives can show tremendous variation.
