WTF is eating my Passionfruit plant

Hi peeps
I planted this passionfruit tree and it lasted 1 night
checked in the morning and it was raped by something
i thought it mite be snails or slugs , i put bait down and nothing
plant keeps getting worse everynight
I went out at night with a torch and saw a couple of earwigs around it
Do earwigs eat plant leaves?
or what else could it be ?

Well my guess is either a passionfruit fly or a grasshopper...I myself would go with grasshoppers since there's no slug trails and you're on a wooden fence...JMO...good luck..

I havnt seen any flies around and there are def no grasshoppers

I was jokin about the "passionfruit" flies, but grasshoppers and caterpillars will do that damage...get some "Garden Safe" insecticide and use it once a week, and don't forget to wash you fruit before eating...BTW that's the brand name and you can find it at walmart. lowes, home depot and target...good luck, and I use it on my veg garden as well as my fruit trees...

haha i have sprayed with insecticide and it still got eaten!

mite be a horny devil dragon bug with 3 legs called tripod

This just happened to me as well. Mine is in a hanging planter, I put diatomaceous earth on the soil and moved it across the garden. Have not lost anymore leaves since.
