WTF how dangerous is this?

So usually I use a metal screen on the bottom of my bowl-well some how it literally lit on fire-I immediately noticed and exhaled but still got a metal taste-how dangerous is that?

For huge hash bowls I get them started with a butane torch-lol and this time the screen took it too much I suppose!

but the oils dripped so easily......whats this star you speak of can I have a link?
Local headshop/glassblower should have some, they are just small glass pieces that go in the hole and still let air through. There is a local glassblower around here that sells them for 50 cents.

I wouldn't worry about the screen unless your getting black smoke and its dripping like melted plastic.
I smoke the left over hash or resin whenever my metal screen gets clogged so I don't think its too dangerous. Just make sure there isn't black smoke coming off of it. Your probably igniting the resin not the metal.

just because you cant see the vapor doesnt mean its not there. theres a few cheap metals that burn off and create vapor at relatively low temps. usually cheap screens are made from cheap metals

If a smoke shop sold me something that was dangerous to use as a filter I would sue their ass. Fuck that, I shouldn't be worrying about what their screens are made of.
I wouldn't smoke out of tin foil, or soda cans. Those are the only two I know I should stay away from.

nah this screen was clean brand new!

I wouldn't worry too much.. metal doesn't really set on fire

If it's a stainless steel screen your cool... if your worried torch your screen to burn any nasty shit off.....

Its possible that the hash was just getting drippy all over your screen, and the hash ignited...

Hash flames up all the time!

check out some glass screens if your worried about the metal and NEEED a screen
