WOW, Air stone under Net Cup!

I've got 4 Rubbermaid Wick/Bubbler systems (6 plants each, 5" NetCups) and I noticed that the plants that were lucky enough to get the 'fizz' from my airstones are MUCH BIGGER than the other plants in the same system.

And the Roots are 10 times more dense!

I need more fizz!

thats the general rule of thumb, there more oxygen the better :)

do you use any h2O2? this can help as well

No H2O2, I'm using FloraNova. I read somewhere that it has some organics in it, those would be harmed (killed) if I used H2O2 (I think).

Somebody please let me know it that is bad information.

ah fair enough, liquid ph up & ph down, and hydrogen peroxide is pointless if you're using organics..

although if its only part organic, then i'd go for it

or just buy more airstones :)

Yeah, I was thinking about those little 1" air stones balls, putting one under each baskit.

Right now I have a sda530 (630 gph) air pump divided into 4 trays of 6 plants each driving one 36" flex-tube air stones per tub.

I wonder if that pump can handle 24 of those little balls, one for each plant?

I'd hate to buy 24 stones and it not work!

Has anybody tried that idea?

Thinking again, I may need 48 stones, one set in another being cleaned and ready to swap out when the others become clogged. Cleaning 24 stones every 2 weeks sounds like an additional pain that I don't need...

Maybe two 12+" stones per tray, I think that may be easier.

I wish I had the money to test all these ideas.
