Would You Want To Live Forever?

Who wants to live forever in an economic nightmare? Now I wouldn't mind living forever in a utopia, but that is just a pipe dream I'm afraid. We are moving ever steadily into a societal hell. For many, death will be a sweet release.

i would definitely want to live forever considering i believe we just rot in the ground lol. might as well stay alive than get eaten by worms. however, if the christian god was true :: chuckles :: that would badass... talk to jesus, moses, ben franklin, ask JFK who he thinks killed him. it would blow my soul's mind !

Or you get to heaven and there's only 7 other ppl there.

lmfao I was thinkin' the same thing!

Dude, it would fuckin' SUCK ASS if the christian God was real!! That guy's a megalomaniac, go check the bible!

Plus, what's with the whole "worship" thing... I mean really, why the hell would the purpose of existence be to bow at someones feet for eternity? Just like America, freedom and individual thought and expression are essential to what we know as happiness, totally exclusive from this concept of 'worship'...

If you created something with a consciousness, would you want it to worship you? Why the fuck would you care right?... I don't get that.

living forever does not mean literally living as one being forever. imagine for a second that reincarnation is a fact, that would mean that we already are eternal entities. however we do not feel like we live forever bc when we are born we forget our previous lives. so lets say something awakens in us and we remember when we are born who we were b4. i imagine it would look like we never left, like we just went to change clothes. think about it, we die bc our bodies are too old, too brokes or too sick, so our souls drop it and go get another. there is a cycle to everything in the universe, y not us.

Whoever wants to live forever better figure out deep space travel.

Gamma Ray Burst

Gamma ray bursts are the most destructive forces in the universe. Thought to be caused by the collapse of a rapidly-rotating, high-mass star into a black hole, gamma ray bursts seem to emanate randomly from unknown locations in deep space. Though gamma ray bursts last only a few seconds to a few minutes, they are often followed by longer-lived “after glows” of energy that are equally as destructive. Were Earth to be hit by a gamma ray burst, we would never see it coming. A quick gamma ray burst would hit the Earth as a ray of energy 1,000,000 times more intense than our sun, roasting our atmosphere and essentially microwaving the entire planet.

Gamma rays...hardcore stuff...not to mention wandering black holes which have been discovered.....mobile vacuum galactic cleaners.

And then there's the sun....which at some point will fry us.
