Would you quit smoking weed for the love of your life?

Im glad this subject popped up. Im going through the same shit. Except..
She doesn't smoke, and is against me doing it at all. The first time I smoked I smoked with her, but that was awhile ago, when neither of us knew how to smoke right, so we didnt get high.
She truely smoked once and told me it was a 'horrible' feeling. Ironicly on 4/20 she confronted me about it, she said either her, or pot. I haven't smoked since 4/20, and still don't know if I made the right choice. We've been together 4 years off an on. We fight constanly, shes cheated on me..yet i still quit smoking just to be with her. Loves a fucked up thing man..

I was once with a girl that wanted me to stop smoking for her, which wasn't a big deal since I didn't (and don't) smoke very often. The problem came when several months later I caught her smoking and drinking and shit behind my back and lying to me about it.

I would say it depends on how she brought it up. If she said "It's me or the weed!" Then bye bitch. But if she is being reasonable about it that's another story. Tell her it would be hard to just stop smoking. I know I can lay in bed for hours trying to fall asleep if I'm not high, so how about compromising? That's the name of the game. What about if you had designated get high days for a while?
It sounds kind of stupid but I would be hard pressed to just stop merely on principle.

You know what they say, give 'em in inch and they take a mile. If you just bow to her on shit it'll become a game, and she'll start making you give stuff up and change yourself just to see if you will. It could become a game to her. Then one day she'll get bored and she's gone and you're left lookin like a douchebag. I'm sure it happens to everyone to some extent.

Unless she's going to piss test you, make sure you have Visine, and Smell Good, and Breath Mints, kinda like reverting back to your juvenile days while trying to get away with smoking with out the Rents knowing. (Haha check it) if you do quit weed, you could Reel her in, and once you got her fo' sho just start up again slowly. Once the unconditional love thing happens she won't leave your ass unless you REALLY give her reason. This has worked for me, and other people i know as well.

Plus like on the real dude, 6 months and your in love? I think you might love her, but being in love takes years man. Sure she's great but dont let her call the shots this early stand tall tell her you wont and if she really cares about you she wont mind
your tripping and bringing negativity into your life.
Now im new here so idk if your growing but if not, go pick up an eight and smoke yourself stupid.

Yes, 6 months and I was in love, no it does not take years, Im not a naive youngster in this category. But its not about "wearing the pants" or "being a man". Its about the fact that we all get to choose what we are willing to live with, including our partner. She has never dated a full time stoner before, so think about it from that perspective for just a moment. She is not throwing a fit to gain leverage or power, she has simply made it known she cant choose a partner thats high all day. She needs a partner that is willing to experience life without having to escape all the time. Thats just what she needs, and if I am not that then we go or separate ways, and thats what Im trying to figure out.

And its not complete opposition to MJ for her. Its opposition to being high all day every day, having a bong in every room, getting high before I tie my shoes in the morning. And believe me, Ive been high all day every day for more years than Id like to admit, so its not like I missed out on that. I mean, I have accomplished a lot in Stoner World. Multiple trips to A-Dam, Hemp Expo's, you name it, Ive done it.

And no getting girls is not an issue for me, so I am not being a needy pussy clinging to the only chick I ever got.

And no Im not going to sneak weed. Ive got a buddy who has been sneaking weed for years, and believe me, its no way to live...at least not for me.

I guess what this is coming down to for me is that there is more to life than weed. Dont turn on me now RIU, I still greatly honor and appreciate MJ. Im just saying is that obsessing over weed, and making it the number one thing in my life is going to cost me big if I let it. So my point is...there's still room in my life for weed, it just cant be the star of the show.

well it kinda sounds like you're the problem. you don't have to smoke all day every day and still enjoy a nice smoke you know. i think i'd probably jump off a bridge if i smoked 24/7. i wouldn't want to go out with a girl that smoke 24/7, god no!
