Would you defol this?

I am a believer of not defoling autos. But, I have really let thes get bunched up to the point In thinking it might be best.
I am a couple weeks from harvest so it's now or never. They are Jack Herer Autos

I hadn't planned on making this thread so here's a not so great pic from a few days ago. I will get some better ones in the am.

Defol is leave it be????

If you believe you are within a couple of weeks from harvest. Defoliating really would do little at this point.

I have " pruned " some autos but ONLY when it preflowers.
I target the tiny inner budsites ( a few ) as not cause stunting or stress.

I remove some inner small fans ( that are shaded anyways ).

I wouldnt, but ya might want to drill holes in that white bucket and use some lst to spread some of the branches for more light to the lower stuff. Whos the breeder on that plant?

Sadly, I am within a couple weeks. These are my first 2 ever and I made a few, one very drastic, mistakes on the way.

Thanks for the opinion.

Peace

I really don't think she will spread. She's small but her stalk is mighty. Maybe I will give it a shot in a few minutes after I get a better picture to show you.
They are JH auto from Crop King. I don't blame it on the breeder at all. I'm surprised they lived tbh.

To be honest, that's what I was leaning toward. Not sure what harm can be done if I do it over the course of a few days.
It is an autoflower and "they" say don't mess with them, especially now.

This is what almost five oz looks like before its chopped down. Ya cant even see the plant right? All those leaves are just making the buds put on weight. This is harvest day, the plant didnt lose one leaf since it sprouted from seed.image.png

Yeah, I'm totally with ya on the "don't defol" issue. I'm just on the fence with this particular situation. And I know I won't get even half of that with both of these, either way.
Btw, I tried to pull at one cola to see if it is possible to spread out. No go. If I do I will uproot her. Stalk is like wood!
Maybe I should bring my 2', 4 bulb t5 in, for lower penetration?

I could barely see any of those buds throughout the whole grow, and all of them ripened up just fine. That pheno was one of three. The other two were tall and spread out but the phenos with the tall branches and smaller leaves did the same weight wise as that short leafy one even though the light could touch all their buds. The only reason id defoliate it was if i was scared of bud mold.

i dunno man looks like there is plenty of time to me...doubt it will be finished in 2 weeks.I wouldnt defol that plant but i would definatley pull some of those branches down and open the center up.You have time.

You guys wouldn't recommend pulling them apart from the top or middle of the bud, would you?
From under the bud it just won't move without uprooting the whole plant.

the higher up you pull them down from the easier it will be,dont tie around the branches,or if you do make a loop so there arent tight if you know what i mean.Personally i would attach some stakes to the outside of that buckets and pull those branches out and attach to the stakes.

I have to say Im having trouble with this..because the plant that im growing is anything but easy to uproot. But if you are feeling uncomfortable then id say leave it alone. But I still wouldnt defoilate,it wont serve any real purpose.

It's in a 3 g. pot. I filled it but it settled to more like 2 g. of Promix bx and perlite. When I pull on 1 cola the whole plant pulls. Maybe I'm using the wrong jargon here but I can't think of a better word than uprooting.

I can pull from the top of the bud, but don't want to tie anything onto the bud itself.
