ok this is gonna be my first grow i have 6x50w fluorescent lights 4ft in length and they will be spread across 10 plants maybe less do you think this would be ok my budget is about 80 or 90 pounds for lights if this wouldnt do could anyone give advice on anything else i can buy that would be better ? im wanting to use the fluoros for growing and flowering again any help would be much apreciated

90pound? thats around 150usd? give or take right? perhaps you can get yourself a 400watt HPS and use fewer plants, more plants doesnt mean more ganja, less plants packed in with a high intensity light will produce heavier yeild, you will get more fluff buds than nuggs under the floros

ok if i get a 400w hps light would i need cooling system for it and how many plants do you think i could get under it i already have the fluoros so could i use them for cloning or something ??

found a website doing a 600 w one and ballast and reflector for £85 so could i use the fluoros for growing the clones or will i need different lights would i need cooling for the 600w one and how many plants would i get under it the web site its on says the 600 w one cover 1 meter squared to 1.5 meters and the bulb is apparently red and blue spectrum of light should be able to start my grow soon

85 is good. is it coolable is what you want to look for. I see alot of people just buying the cheapest light and then trying to sell it on craigslist for half of what they payed. I spent 300 usd for a digital 600w hps with a cooled hood shipped. just some stoney thoughts.....
