Would this work? Green light question...

Ok so i'm toying with a theory i have regarding my current situation. That situation is my indoor grow setup. I have converted a small shower into my grow space of somewhat stealthy proportion. The lower part is my veg chamber where i've got 6 x 45W CFLs keeping things growing. The upper part is the flowering chamber where i have a 400W HPS. A very humble 400W that is actually a security floodlight variant  Bear with me on that one. I have plans to arrange an air-cooled light tube for it!

Right, so my question.. I have 2 exhaust fans pulling air out of my veg chamber. They are set in pine board which is about 20mm thick, so light is pouring into the flowering chamber. I'd like to know if it would be possible to use green light as a way of "blocking" out the CFL light from fully penetrating the flowering chamber and potentially interrupting my flowering schedule.

Would the plants still "see" the CFL light even if it was coming from a hole that is now behind a bright green light?? I have tried to illustrate what i mean with pictures i took and then edited :-P I just wanna know if i'd just be wasting my time trying to flower with that theory if it ain't gonna work.

Alternatively i thought of making ducting to completely block out the light :?:

Thanks all. Any help or comments welcome and appreciated. :bigjoint:

I've been busy and its paying off! ;-) I built my own ducting and my own version of an air cooled reflector hood. It has made a difference to the temp the light creates! I still have to put a door on to the flowering chamber and cut more air inlets. But here's what i've done to make my grow space just that much better - and its been a LONG time coming.
