I wanted to ask before I went ahead and wasted a good weeks worth of my time. I sometimes do freelance animation work, but it is always independent considering I do not like people telling me how they want this done, or that done, I like to do my own thing. And I was bored and was thinking of something else I could do. And then I was thinking well maybe it would be cool to create a realistic 3D animation in maya of a grow box being built. It would still be very simple but would give people a perspective that no one has probably ever seen. And I think it would have a cool factor to it. So... Do you want or do you not want?

I wouldn't actually build anything... Take a simple wooden box, with the lights, the pot and dirt, ventilation, fans, power strips to connect the lights and all the components needed to build a simple closet or room box grow setup and make all of that cg. I am simply saying/asking would people like to see a 3D animation (like you see in video games and pixar movies) of all these things coming together to make a grow box. It would be kind of like a simple tutorial and it would be different, and in an animation you have no limits so I can do anything with camera angles, etc... Plus a real life tutorial would be long and boring. An animation would be short and to the point. I don't know how else to explain it.

I'd watch and appreciate the time you put into it. Would you be making a pot with a seed and watch it grow in 3D as well? It could reach over and water itself and drink nutes and flick off the bugs while it basks under the lights or just dance in the wind...

But I'll watch your grow room idea.

I have actually considered building a grow box according to soma specs on casters for my room and just keep amending the soil.
