Don't use nutes if your using MG soil. MG soil contatains self releasing nutes for ut to 3 months. By adding more nutes you can kill your plant. MG is very acidic and not good for canabis. Use pro-mix and add nutes later on.

LMAO...strangers are funny. I know of a LARGE grow just a few blocks away which is using nothing but MG soil and everything looks STELLAR. They transplanted 2" seedlings straight into 2 1/2 gallon buckets full of MG potting soil. IT DIDN'T BURN THEM UP. They used no nutes for 21 days, then fed with fish emulsion (full strength according to bottle for indoor flowering plants) every third watering (32 ounces almost every day) until day 45 when they switched to 12/12. They just finished with fish emulsion for another 10 days and were getting ready to use OTC bloom nutes last I knew. Plants were around 24" tall, bushy as hell (used UB's technique for 4 main colas), and were NEVER burned at ANY point in the grow.

I was standing in Walmart today gawking at this ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUPERthrive ) on the shelf next to the Miracle Grow as described by the original poster. Has anyone used it?
I have seen it at like Home depot and lowes or whatever but I don't think it even has the N-P-K value on the label or little box. Idk man, seems fishy when I looked at it. I just use the reg MG for veg and switch to the blow MG when Im ready to flower. Seems to work alright

From what I understand, it's a nutrient additive. Containing, of all things, growth hormone. lol.

It works just fine if you are growing on a budget.

I grew a plant in pure pearlite and used nothing but MG Bloom Booster as an experiment.

I used no trace elements or anything else but water just to see how complete the nutrition was.

It grew an excellent plant that looked not quite but almost as good as my other plants grown with high end organic soil and ferts.

I did not flush (as I feel that flushing is a myth anyway, but that's for another thread) and there was no chemical or otherwise bad taste left behind.

I have to say that it worked very well for the money spent.

I still prefer old school organics, as I feel they give you a far superior product to chemical ferts.

Yeah, not all MG soils contain nutes, you can get MG top soil (No additives other than perlite) thats prob the soil there using for this "big" grow where you live.
If your adding nutes with MG soil that already has nutes you would be adding x2 nutrients than the plant needs, hence causing many deficiency and root/leave burning.

Rly MG with those extended nutes are not very good for MJ

Nope...MG potting soil...time released nutes...they're 2+ weeks into flower, full strength OTC bloom nutes every other watering (still almost daily) consuming nearly 1/2 gal per plant (they flushed each pot with 2 gallons water not too long after last fish emulsion feeding and added 1/2 strength OTC micros with first following watering).

But anyway.....yeah...time released nutes involved.

Mg is great for growth but leaves a bad taste unless you flush for like 3 or 4 weeks just plain water at the end of flower( potting soil). The powder fert would be better with organic soil because its much easier to flush. I like to veg in a half gallon pot of MG until they are 12 inches and then transplant to a 5 gallon with organic soil and then use Jacks classic or fox farms for flowering fert. But any fert should be flushed for at least a week best at 2 weeks.

There's no fucking way I would ever use Miracle Grow unless I wanted radioactive bud that tasted awful. MG is nothing but chemicals and you'd be surprised to see the radiation levels in it. The same goes for General Hydroponics nutrients. All chemical, decent dose of radiation but not as bad as MG. If you don't mind amending soil you can create a nice mix with different shit available for cheap, or go with different bottled nutrients.

If you're trying to save money, you might as well not grow it. It takes money and an investment in equipment to grow quality bud unless you're a renegade or medical outdoor grower that uses free light, but you can put all you need to give a plant in the soil right off the bat. If you want to know of some soil mixes that I know of, I can steer you in that direction. You just add water since it has everything else you need. I go a different route and use bottled nutrients and am about 90-95% organic. I spend about $600 per grow and my current one should yield at least a pound. I like to have certain control over things and will even sometimes hand mix a specific ratio for a certain plant if it needs something else from the others. Luckily, I have yet to have too many issues and have my nutes all dialed in where they need to be with the water properties of my well water. Things are going well.

I use MG all purpose water soluble 24-8-16 for vegging and MG bloom booster 15-30-15 for flowering.
I actually had to chop a girl early because I fucked her up somehow.
Anyways, no flush, in the middle of flowering, I smoked all the buds on the plant and it was DELICIOUS!!
No "chemical" taste, whatever that means. It was some of the best tastin bud I've ever had, to tell you the truth.
LMAO radioactive? I think that rumor has been laid to rest.
600 bucks per grow?! and only a pound? what type of grow op are you running?
