would it hurt the flowering process if i gave it 14 hours of dark and not just 12?

I would not do it for long.
I switched my plants to 13 off and 11 on.
As a matter of fact now that they are starting to show signs of sex I need switch to 12/12.
I was over anxious to see the sex signs.
I got to remember to do that in the morning when my lights come back on.
