Would it stress a plant to move from hps to cfl daily?

Ive got a 600 watt hps coming friday that im going to flower a behemoth ive been veggin in a 30 gallon tote. The closet is 5ft long 3ft wide and the big one is 3.5ft long and wall to wall width.

There is just enough room in the closet for my fruity in a 5 gallon bucket but i want to veg that until the new year and transplant it to a 30 gallon tote in november.

So could i veg the 5 gallon plant in the flower room for 12 hours under the 600 watt then switch it to my 300 watt cfl veg room for 6 hours? would that cause stress?

Was thinking i could add the 300 watts cfl 6500k to the flower room while the plant vegged then place it else where when big one was in dark period...bad idea?

It would be better to seperate them completely... The CFL's aren't going to produce as much light which will slow growth a little but if your trying to extend her until the new year it might be worth it especially if you add more lights in your veg area.

Update: To answer your question. Yes, any dramitic change will stress out the plants.

Wait - are you wanting to continue to veg this plant? If so changing lights isn't going to harm it. Sure won't help it. Kind of odd but I suppose you have reasons. It will work. Light is light, just varies in spectrums and lumens basically.
