Would it be possible to be hired at a job with a Medical MJ card?

Im trying to get a job and Mj is most deff in my system.. Im just wonering if I try to apply and get hired and go do the drug test and whatnot would having a med MJ card help me get hired??

Oh and sorry for posting this thread in the gen mj growing...
 
its up to the company. some honor it, and some dont. just be upfront about it in the interview. either they send you on your way or you'll get a job lol
its not like its illegal ;) haha
 
State that you use marijuana legaly for medical porpuses before going to the drug test.
Probably if it envolves heavy machinery or something like that using mj, even if legal, wouldn't help you.

State that you use it only to treat a medical issue and not to "get high".

Well you would think they would have to hire you, people with med scripts for opiates like tabs,perks get hired I dont understand why they wouldnt with a mj card..

well theres a national law that every corporation has the right to deny someone of a job if they are able to be intoxicated legaly. just like how some place wont hire mentaly disturbed people. its like how some doctors will honor your card, and some simply wont. as long as it doesnt involve heavy machinery you should be good. but i know alot of people with cards that have jobs.
 
Driving jobs might also turn you down, especially if they are covered under Dept of Transportaton regs and their drivers have to pass the DOT physical.
 
in most cases companies treat it like regular prescriptions. you will not be able to operate any equipment, machinery you will just be a grunt. but do go to take the test do not say anything to the company tell you take the test. then go back to the company and show them your card and say that the drug screening place told you that you should tell the company. let them pay for the test first.
 
They dont have to hire you if they feel you cant responsibly perform the job. At vestas they feel if you are in pain to need any relaxers you dont need to be around turbines.
 
To tell the truth I could prob run machinery better when im stoned..or so I would think but if I was hiring someone for a driving job or to handle heavy machinery id prob think twice about hiring someone that uses pot for medicinal purposes, but lets just think your not not gonna be on the job site just smoking or anything.
