Woudl it be alright to start flowering these not so young but short plants?

I want to flower these plants early, Not because I'm getting impatient, just because the are bagseed and I started this grow (my first) just to see if I could keep up with the process of growing it. They are about a month old and it seems like they're doing fine, they are short but they're nice and leafy. I realize flowering them now would produce a smaller harvest but I want to start a new grow with better quality seeds and a different set up completely.

Due to lack of space in my grow cabs, I started flowering after only 3 weeks of vegging. It's been 3 weeks and my plants look great. Check my journal for pics.

You're growing entirely under CFLs? Either way, you can start the cycle but you may not see results instantly. Keep us posted on your successes though!

cant really tell u how much better the HPS but its alot better and HID is better than a CFL but if u wanna save money and such go for CFLS wanna save space go for HID

Buy a blue/red LED and combo it 2 CFL + 1 blue/red LED panel per plant and a half. so for 2 plants get 3 42w CFL and 1 LED blue/red LED panel.

The panel runs about 60 bucks + shipping and you can basically touch the plants with it with no heat damage.

i got my led panel for $35, and you can buy a lot of 4 of them for around $120, but they will only work for vegging and they really are not even all the great for that

HPS is THE BEST indoor light for flowering. Nothing invented yet that will provide better light. the only thing that beats it is the SUN!

Was the point of this thread "should i upgrade to hps" or "are my first plants ready to flower"? It seems the answer to everyones question is "get a hps". Anyway i do think the plants can be flowered, and look great. Them CFLs must be working so stick with them.

Good luck and keep us updated!

YouTube - LED Marijuana Grow

Video is of HID vs LED UFO

Cloned plants

HID produced 91g at .217g/Kwh
LED produced 36g at .36g/Kwh

So i understand the LED is more efficient

LED IS more efficient then HID and cheaper but you need to match the KWH of a HID or HPS to get the results.

Here is the problem no-one wants to admit that LED is too expensive.

It emits little to no heat has 80% less costs to run and is more efficient.

http://shop.sunshine-systems.com/product.sc?productId=9 for instance is a 300w LED panel comparable but the costs is $1750

LED is the future and atm you cant grow 100% under led unless your willing to drop some big bucks but you can easily subsidize your grow with LED + CFL for a cheap alternative.
