Why do they do it?
I have only ever found dried up dead worms - R.I.P. my dedicated employees - so I think they crawl out at night.
Here's my theory. I have happy thriving healthy plants - this isn't worms evacuating an unhealthy place. Since this only happens after I put some castings into a pot, I think when the lights are off the worms are lost. That or an overcrowding situation where leaving is the only option.
