Worm Farming

i just built myself a 2'x2' box and now going to try and harst worm castings in it first i need to know is where is a good place to get worm and out of the ground is no good for me cuz its all sand, second is how many is a good number to have, third wat is a good starter soil for them, forth wat is a good food source and bad food source wat food have different nute advantages, venting the box and moister of the casting

Try looking for red wrigglers after it rains, under piles of shit, logs etc. Just about anything. You want red wrigglers, not earthworms. Dont buy them either, they are expensive and if you can dig up a few dozen, they multiply like crazy.
