Moebius I'm requesting more grow room pics! Wide angle shots of the whole setup! Glad to see you're back to the WoH, brother.Have you heard any bullshit from your upstairs neighbor lately?
Will post some soon maybe some vid too. Although my plants atm are from seed and not very impressive, Ive been searching for that 'keeper'

Glad to be back on WoH, you guys have really made this thread work, its cool. I dont have the time for a personal thread so Open community threads work for me.

re: her upstairs, when I shut down my grow op I started partying and playing my hiphop and house music quite loud. Now I'm growing again I'm being quiet and respectful

the good new growth will start soon and the side branching will be awesome, i used flowering clones my last few grows and found they dont make a good sog but are great for mother plants, they seem to need 3 weeks of veg after they root to start taking off.

i have three in flower atm which were moms but i lost track of what they were so i flowered them, i will post a pic of them when i can.
Thanks man, I was hoping somebody would say just that. LOL.

Thanks for all the replies! Have't been on the site in a while so forgot how to reply to multiple people at once lol... Anyways to answer a few, I'm using the standard 3 to 1 ratio perlite to vermiculite and the buckets seem light to me when watering but considering the auto doesn't perk up after watering maybe there was root damage?

Does that shop happen to be on Central...near the old A&W? They are a great shop and their nutrient line works very well. I used to buy it in the big 5 gal jugs before they changed the label and reformulated it. Its even better now.
No, not the one I go to; but the indoor garden shop Im thinking of that produces Blu Moon is a chain, locations in Kent, Tacoma, Lynnwood and Preston. I just haven't looked into their nute line; when I started growing a few years ago I got used to using FF trio nutes (still use them on my soil plants) and now I am using GH for hempy. Might have to look into Blu Moon though, expecially if they are cheaper. I just dont like changing nutes, I have to get used to PH, PPM, how my plants react to it... I like to K.I.S.S.

Hey mo! Been a while! So yeh I noticed i can get at least 4-5 clones off each mother. I think im going to start taking clones next week when I get my ezclone 120. Oh btw I have a 11x11 room that I will have available in January. So what can I do with that also? I was thinking take clones for that room now like maybe get like 24 plants vegged for a month and put in the room and then get 128 clones and do 12/12 from clone in the current room I have. Or could I even be able to get 256 clones from my mothers to use in the other room as a sea of green?

So I decided last night - I am done with soil, I debated whether I was going to convert to all hempy or leave the 36 plants under my 1000w in soil and do two trays of 18-21 hempys under my 600w. But the watering time with my soil plants is wearing me out. It takes me more time to prepare my water for 21 hempys then it does to water them; I have my hempys in 18" X 28" shallow rubbermaid trays. I water them by hand with a measuring cup and I wet-vac the excess in the bottom of the tray (IMO, even quicker than grading the tray into a passive drain hole at one end of the tray - takes about 10-15 seconds to wet-vac the water out).

First step - my two lights are too far apart and need to by moved together. They are mounted into the beams in the ceiling of my basement, currently 50" apart. I am going to move them to about 12-16" apart to get an overlap area between the two. The goal is to run 5 trays of 18-21 hempys, five different strains.

This will be new for me since I have been growing with 2-3 strains (only 2 right now - BC God's Bud, Aurora Indi) for a while - my wife is a medical patient and she smokes a shit ton of weed to keep her nausea in check and I need to get a better variety for her medical needs.

I have Liberty Haze, Strawberry Blue and OG Kush growing under some CFLs to become mother plants in the next month or so. I have a lead on some white rhino clones and I have another pack of beans to pop soon (Tangerine Dream).

Should be fun, I'm addicted to new challenges in my garden!! glad to be all in with hempy!!

Yeah it been a long minute.

Dude, if you achieve thay then youre a BOSS. lol. you'll probably need a room that large to dry all the bud you'll be pulling.

Seriously though, only advice I can offer at this stage is when taking the clones, visualizing before cutting to prevent mistakes and to help mantain the shape of the mom. tbh, it takes only a cycle or 2 to become an expert anyhow.

wet-vac ? Damn thats a good idea, I think im going to do this too. cheers.

it will be quite fun to run different strains in different trays. ... with a few strains you'll be able to find the bud that works best with nausea. Ive smoked quite a bit of white-rhino and its always satisfying.

What's taking so long to prepare all the water for the soil plants? They actually need to be watered less, no? I feed my hempy's every other day (the 2 liters have a perlite:verm mix 3:1). I've been noticing some Mag deficiency, so I've been adding cal/mag. Seems to be a thing with hempys though...

I was thinking of maybe trying the subcool super soil to see how they respond, but it takes a while mixing all that shit.

Moebius,

you're grow room is fucking TOP NOTCH mate! I have absolutely no idea how you fit in there though, but I understand the height limitations. The GDP looks nice and I can't wait to see how it performs. Been eye balling that strain for a while. I have (2) Qrazy trains, (1) cali connection blue dream haze (too stretchy for your grow room), and a plush berry mom all ready for round 2. I'll be 3 weeks into flower come Sunday. Need to defoliate just a little bit to let some light down below. I vegged my clones till they were around 5-6" so I have a nice even canopy and my 400 watt will be able to penetrate to the bottom. Looking forward to the Afghan Kush x Skunk, Jock Horror, and Plush berries.

Yeah, the wet-vac is great, 10-15 seconds and my tray is dry and all the excess is in a container I can just dump down the drain.

The BC Gods bud is really good for nausea but when you build up a tolerance like my wife you need different strains to mix it up. My buddy said the clones he has are White Rhino/Afgani Kush hybrid. We'll see how they are too...

Its mostly because I have 5 different cycles of 10-12 plants each, and it seems like one cycle is dry almost every night. It takes a while to water, drain, and then place them back in order, its like putting a puzzle back together making sure that each COLA is in an optimum spot with light exposure. Takes me at least 3X as long to water the same number of plants. So yeah, I will still be watering with the same frequency, maybe even more often, but the time committment is less with Hempy. And way less expensive given that the growth medium can be re-used, rather than soil.

I have noticed the same - I have pretty soft tap water that is only 40 PPM out of the tap and my latest round of hempy's are growing well, but the tell-tale neon green growth with purple stems is evident so I have bumped the cal/mag to 5-7.5ML/GAL, rather than the 1.25-2.5ML/GAL I started with...

I was wondering what the neon green / purple stem was from. All my mothers had that issue in veg and so did my clones.

Yeah, I think WattSaver was also having the same issues, he was talking about it a few pages back... Have you had success with more cal/mag in treating your symptoms?

I added for a few grows and it stopped. Once I stopped adding it, it came back. So I'm just going to keep adding 10 ml per 3 gallons of water and see how it does.

Yeah the Kent one is on Central ave. They are competative withGH in price but i think they work better. Im usimg GH with LUCAS formula and not liking my results.

Im doing GH Flora Lucas and although I need to do some tuning in, I'm happy with it. Generally im giving the plants 2ml and 4ml per litre of water and my plants thrive. I pH at 6.0. Ive started adding a very small amount of PK13/14.

Dont ask me my E.C and PPM because my bluelab stick hasnt come out of the cupboard since I bought it. I'll use it eventually for fine tuning my nute schedule.

I think i'll stick with it (GH Flora) for another year or so and try to tune it in with some additives. I'm sure there are better products out there though.

I am also using GH but not Lucas formula; the first round of hempys got burned the first week (cranked the PPM up too fast), the next round I dailed too far back and used not enough cal/mag. I firgure there is going to be a learning curve with any new nute schedule so I haven't formed my opinion on GH yet.

Ill have to try the flora. Just been using maxibloom dry powder. Only additive ive been using is Dutch Masters silicate product as a pH up and strengthener. My water is at about 30 ppm base and i prob should have been using some calmag. With the Blue Moon that was not necessary. Read all about LUCAS and figured ill try hempy LUCAS and K.I.S.S. just had better results before.
