World Of Hempy

My Hempy plants planted into Hempy 1 gallon Milk Jugs have hit the res and I must say they are growing...I am pleased.

I have a few questions, Since these are bag seed of unknown origin, how do I know how big they will get?

Now can I put them into flower? I'm thinking this weekend, I want to test the timers again before making the switch. I topped them again tonight and they are just alive with growth.

I need to try and sex them, because I have a lot of female seeds.

Day four of 12/12. Time to get my seedlings out of there...may scrap em due to possibility of aphids but hate to lose berrybomb by bluedream...even though i have a bunch of S2 berry bomb seeds and a healthy BD momma. Plants are looking much happier even if photo under HIDs shows em yellow. Top two weeks of growth is coming out nice and green. Surprisingly my SandWidow plants are starting to stretch hard already. Anyone know genetics of sand widow? My experience with WW shows very little stretch. Have had to cull 7 males so far leaving me with less females from seed than i had hoped. One of my maui wowie x blue dream has weird mutant leaves...where a segment would be on the leaf is a long stem with segment on end of it..weird securedownload-405.jpg it was the one i tested Bayer complete insect on by pouring 4 oz of it into reservoir.

Because they're unknown, and because you have a 4'ft ceiling I would switch this weekend.

whocares100,

When to flip is always a question for the unknown. Do you have any pics of the leaves? You can tell if a plant is leaning more sativa vs indica. I can say this, if you plan on growing for an extended period of time, I would recommend the following:

- Prepare a mom.
- Top your plant when it grows it's 5th node and top down to the second so the 2 internodes spawn off and create 2 uniform nodes.
- By the 6th-7th week of veg your plant should start showing sex. If it starts showing a little nub by the leaf, it's most likely a male. Male's also tend to grow taller and faster than females. Otherwise you'll see a little hair popping out if it's a female.
- You can clone the top that you took off the plant to determine it's sex.
- You can also run this clone in flower to gauge how tall it's going to be. Keep a cut around (a mother) in the event the plant has a phenotype you are looking for. (Heavy yield, super potent, amazing flavor, etc)

This will allow you to keep stock of unknown/known plants to grow out. Label the moms (if you have a lot) so you remember which ones grow to what heights. Growing is highly addictive and extremely fun / rewarding, plus its FAR easier growing from clone than seed anyways. You know what to expect when the plant fills out.

Hope this helps and happy growing!

I have around 70 plants right now, all different sizes mostly less than 6 inches tall as I had alot of bag seed...I have topped some and they responded well....I still have asymetrical branches on most plants, so no signs of sex yet...I keep looking, They only thing I see on most of them looks like little fingers with 2 hairs on them...Still learning how to sex them...

I have had a couples clones do that sort of thing when I took them when the plant was 4 to 5 weeks in to flower. But it looks healthy and lots of bud sites.

Some of my babies waiting for new pots 100_1999.jpg Most are healthy, I had to use soil with them as they needed out of the cups...as soon as I get some more Perlite they will be Hempy's too....here are some in the new pots, I topped some of the ones I had not topped before...100_2001.jpg100_2004.jpg100_2003.jpgSome in big pots, some in small...

Yeah they are all doing great and loving their feeding schedule. Right now, they are getting fed every 2 days. Water, off, off, water. My OC+ Hempy experiment is doing well too!

Wow...I had that happen on some "Sweet Deep Grapefruit" clones...some leaves weren't even serrated along the edges....but I took them late in flower....
Yeah this was from a root bound mom. They all are doing well though. You can see the purple coming in on the bud sites and this is only at 1.5 weeks. These plushberries are REALLY going to fill out. I see bud sites all up and down the stem and the short side branches. Purple massive buds to come!

What's the word on taking clones from flowering plants? Obviously its possible, just dont know if its the same process or if it takes any special tricks. I have 2 plants I would love clones from, but they're flowering hard. Roughly 4-5 weeks in. I'm a noob and didn't bother to write down when they started to flower. Lesson learned. I have an aero cloner I built that I'm dying to try out. Lol.

You can do it, if they have a small bud, once you get them rooted depending on how long you want to veg them after planting them they will revert to vegging. Then you can go right into flower again with them. I would take clones from lowest branches off the main stem for clones if they have been in 12/12 that long.

Also be patient, clones from a plant already in bloom take longer to root.

So here are my two favorite girls from my seed plants. I took 4 cuttings off each in case they bud well. First doesnt look like its parents at all but has nice growth characteristics and stayed fairly healthy when others lagged the second is growing and looking exactly like its blue dream parent. On both you can see the marked difference in health from the top growth to the bottom. I still have aphids but i knocked em way back. last pic is my clone side with a nice canopy..we wont talk about the seed sides canopy lol. Day 5 flower. ill wait 2 weeks to post more pics so we can get some bud porn showing.securedownload-361.jpgsecuredownload-389.jpgsecuredownload-407.jpg
