let me give u a different pic ,that wasnt under the lights ( i lifted them for the pic normally they are very close) :-) photo (1).jpg I fill the res with water and forget about it. to avoid overheating its off for 2 hours a day. oh yeah and inbetween resevoir changes ( once a week) i let em dry out. the resevoir goes into the hemy holes and have airstones in it

and no they look almost glossy which yeah is prolly N overdose. the clones still have some leafs i left on so they can get a lil extra energy from em. the fastest ones are gonna get flowered first then ill mother some of the slower ones. does it matter if theres too much N? will they balance out if i let em be a few days? or maybe just add a lil water? i havent been topping it off because it doesnt really matter theyre in a layer of water. any bad growth you see is because i decided to leave it on there till they get more top growth

Nizza, I'm really intrigued with your set up. Here's what I'm thinking. Perlite filled cups, with hole in side a couple of inches up, hanging in a nute rez filled to a level above the hempy hole. You let this rez set being agitated by airstones for about a wk. Then drain rez letting party cup rez dry, then recharging the rez.

Let me know how close I am.

A few pictures of my Hempys 2 gallon pots filled with 100% perlite. I keep going back n forth with Hempy and Soil. I get better tasting stuff in Hempys and more yield in soil. Guess I gotta work with my Hempies more to up the yield since it is Hydro and no excuse huh?

and now i have this idea, where i get all the dixie cups to seat in correctly and i seal the chamber in, and pump it with air. I believe the air could only co up through the hempy cups, thus oxegenating and creating that waterfall-type oxegenation combined with the aerating of the stones... working on getting a new strong container or just fixing mine up with foil tape n shit. photo (2).jpg the superskunk all the way to the left is blowing up... and so is that sourdawgx northen lights next to it. the sourdawg strain was a seed i got from a batch. I have yet to try it and am excited

so I am starting 3 hempy bucket grows. I am using 2ltr bottles. I am using 100% perlite. I was curious if someone could tell me how often do I need to water and how much? I have a small grow box and will be using CFLs for lighting. I am trying to grow 3 afghan kush ryder autoflowers so would a hempy bucket be a good way to grow these? any help would be great.

I used a Vermiculite Perlite mix and I am watering my 2 liters every other day, but then they are also under 400watt HPS, and its still kinda summer hot. My last straight perlite 2 liter got watered daily, and loved it! With CFL's you could probably get away with every other day, to every 2 days. I would just tip them over in the morning, and if no water comes out of the hole, then you its time to replenish the tank.

I also just harvested an Auto Northern Lights Blue that I grew in 3 gallon 100% perlite. She did just fine, also under CFLs.

Here's my hempy girls just under 3 weeks. I am mainlining for four nodes. All the plants have been topped once and some of them just got topped for the second and last time. Pics 2,3,4 are of the same plant and 5,6,7 are of another plant before and after the second topping. With the second topping came the removal of the first node shoots and leaf and removal of the second node sheets (I left the leaf). What do you guys think?

sorry I am new to this. so are you trying to just get 4 nodes on your plants then start flowering?

That is exactly what I am trying to do bear. All four of these nodes are coming from the same spot along the main branch so there will be no discrepancy in nutrient uptake from the roots nor in distance from and exposure to the light. This idea was created by nugbuckets and he has a whole thread dedicated to pruning your plants this way. He normally grows larger plants and takes them to 8 or even 16 colas, but I wanted to grow several plants so I decided to use smaller containers and only go for four colas. This also means significantly less veg time for me.
