So finally decided to invest in a vacuum chamber. I've made bho a handful of times using a mason jar as a chamber achieving honeycomb cookies.

Including using 5 week outdoor premature buds that were over 4 months old ---still got an a aromatic extract of honeycomb.

I'm running sky og nugs that weren't trimmed but picked of obscene fan leaves.
Temp is 125 degrees steady down to the full 29.4 vac been going for 15 hours roughly.
Still a thick pile of goo ish material.

Possible that it will still comb up?? Only reason I think it might is bc there are only small bubbles happening that leave pinhole sized craters after they pop th then slowly build back to small bubbles . Any ideas anyone?

Also I'm wondering if this could be related to issues with my other 2 batches not working (picture of this tiny batch attached). But when I blasted I was in a covered area although it was raining outside an cold. Humidity trapped in the oil maybe?!?
Picture of batch 1 which also got overheated so I'm sure that ruined it to an extent...l let me know if you want pix of the one currently in chamber and I'll pull it out.

Also note that the sky OG run when I took it out it had a half dried faux wax appearance to it which disappeared upon continuation of the purge.

Additional info would be great..really frustrating to waste this material..

Think it won't work..?
Little disappointing if not, but hopefully the next batch at least has a stable consistency..
It could still wax up but it looks like u over cooked it.
Next time you want wax just pull to your pump's max vacuum and slowly up the temps until you start to see it wax up in the chamber, it should be waxing at lower temps than 120, more around 100 and whipping it helps but only do so after you've purged the extract of solvent.
im curious tho, why do u want wax? It takes longer to make wax than shatter or sap :o

Snaps hit the nail on the head. Taste and stability of product. I like to be able to handle my wax or break chunks.
I'll post a couple pics soon but I did a new batch. Water bath used when blasting and no heat on the purge. Has A nice golden color at the moment, just reacting very slowly.

So just tried honeycomb instead. Came out good but not completely solid.
Still semi ear wax/plyable feeling. Any way to get it solid and dry so it cracks in half? ? 20141102_091544.jpg

Just leave it longer the over night. I had a chunk still slightly wet, I went to bed woke up 8 hrs later and it was solid and not wet looking at all, really nice smell as well.
