Just wondering if the below CFL will work for vegging. They look a little different then your normal CFL, and not quite sure about the wattage. If they are cool, i plan on getting quite a few... Lemme know

60W Incandescent Equivalent. 13 Watt, 120 Volt Daylight White CFL Bulb

Edit: Daylight White Color , and also states "NOT RECOMMENDED for Use In Enclosed Fixtures or w/ Control Devices" Anyone would happen to know why??

I reckon it would be to do with heat issues in an inclosed fixture also clf's are not dimmable i.e control devices.

Timers would be fine. Control divices would be a dimmer switch and inclosed fixture would be like an outdoor security light were the bulb would be closed in and heat would build up.

13 watts isn't very much, good luck though! I'm a stickler for a good deal too. But yes, the bulbs you posted the link for are the correct spectrum for veg, 6500k.

I was thinking like 4 per plant, what do you think. I noticed the low wattage also. Im sure these are some tiny bulbs lol

Yeah, i don't really know. I've just heard not to go lower than 23w or 100w equivalant, but it'll probably work as long as you wrap 'em up tight...surround the plant and keep the lights as close as possible

I'll probably end up going half n half, just to see how it goes. I just dont have $100 to drop into lights right now
