Wondering about what keeps the genetic more the male or female or does it get a 50 50 blend no matter who screws who

Let me know! I have a couple strains I want to cross but I want to keep certain traits from.one strain a lot and if theres is a way to do that by using it as the pollen or the receptor let me know , if its equal results all the better, thanks buds

Do you remember punnet squares from 7th grade? It’s like that! You get roughly 1/3 like mom, 1/3 like dad, and 1/3 that are a mix of the two. Expressions will vary based on dominant versus recessive gene expression and pairing. To get specific outcomes takes some trials.

theres allways genetic drift within a bunch of seeds i believe, thats why you get differant phenos within a bunchof seeds. the more there inbread the more uniform they become. but a lot of seeds are f1's which means you cross a female of one strain with male of the other strain and produce f1 hybrids and thats what your buying

With each individual seed there is the punnet square to think about, but also, the randomness of which parent will have more dna in the seed, and also, some individual parents can be known to be more ‘overpowering’ with there dna.
You ever seen a family where everyone looks like the dad or mom?

A simple question and Google did not spit out an answer. It had me reading about plant genetics, looks like a rabbit hole to me.

From what I have read the two give an equal split of their genetics. Mind you errors (mutations) will cause the plants to varry and they are all not homogeneously the same.
