With Affordable Care Act, Canceled Policies for New York Professionals

This was in New York Times today.

It looks like many flocks of chickens are coming home to roost.
I have to say that I find this to be quite funny.
And it is going to become even more humorous in the upcoming months.
:hump:
Excerpt from piece:

It is not lost on many of the professionals that they are exactly the sort of people — liberal, concerned with social justice — who supported the Obama health plan in the first place. Ms. Meinwald, the lawyer, said she was a lifelong Democrat who still supported better health care for all, but had she known what was in store for her, she would have voted for Mitt Romney.
It is an uncomfortable position for many members of the creative classes to be in.
“We are the Obama people,” said Camille Sweeney, a New York writer and member of the Authors Guild. Her insurance is being canceled, and she is dismayed that neither her pediatrician nor her general practitioner appears to be on the exchange plans. What to do has become a hot topic on Facebook and at dinner parties frequented by her fellow writers and artists.
“I’m for it,” she said. “But what is the reality of it?”

I'm a member of the creative class too, but I was never an Obama people.

What Obama tried to do to make health care more affordable was a good and honorable thing...The Republicans, with the backing of the insurance companies, Big Pharma, and other powerful interests made damn sure that what was finally passed was a series of weak, inefficient bills that they could then use as political ammo against Obama an the rest of the Dems. It worked, end of story.

News headline: GOP to blame for passing ACA despite not a single Republican voted for it. And Obama so totally didn't lie to us.

ya know, my wife and i were discussing what the hell you could be doing such that you have to "service" so many people every day for only $20 a pop.

do you shine shoes at the airport?

suck dick in bathroom stalls at highway rest stops?

clean pools?

suck dick at truck stops?

mow lawns?

suck dick in back of car?

medical transport?

sucking dick in the back of a van?

cab driver?

sucking dick behind the tastee freeze?

whatever you do, it has to be as low skill as it can possibly get.

The envy that just oozes out of you whenever you attempt to demean anyone that actually works for a living is a testament to how shitty your life really is...

It makes me smile cheesybeard, it really does...

seriously. you have to "service" 10-15 people a day for $20 a pop.

pool cleaners get paid more.

what is it that you service? do you shine shoes? suck dick? mow lawns?

scratch that, people who mow lawns get paid more than you. i may have given you too much credit when i suggested that.

the world demands to know.

Many people assume Obamacare is Free, so many have not paid anything. The system is designed to only work if young healthy people ( 25%+ Unemployment) foot the bill. But young healthy people have no money so it is doomed.

For about 18 months I installed dishwashers and insinkerators for people. You probably think that is shitty work for shitty pay, but I made over $60K a year doing it in the early 90's.

nah, that's the type of work that i would do in an instant. working with your hands, good honest work.

and you don't have to install 10-15 a day at $20 a pop.

the other day, NLXSK said he "services" 10-15 people a day at $20 a pop. i've been trying to narrow down what he could be doing ever since.

i doubt he gets 50-75 new clients a week, so i imagine that a lot of these people are return customers.

maybe he cuts hair at great clips? children's haircuts?

sucking dick for money still sounds pretty likely.
