I got a visit with my doctor tomorrow. I have two conditions that make me eligible. Diverticulitis and a degenerated disk in my neck that makes the nerve going to my left arm burn like crazy. I don't know why I'm so nervous I have good relation with him but bringing this up to him make me jittery!

Hey good luck!!! Don't be nervous. I'm sure everything will go fine. I'm applying for mine also.

Almost the same reason I have my card - I get the pain in both arms though.. If you have enough medical history they will hook you up.

Is Endometriosis that list? Can you get it for menstrual pains?
I don't know how all the states MM laws work but in mine (OR) there is a list and one of the items on that list is something like "Any debilitating condition for which treatment with MM has a beneficial effect" So I take that to mean if you have a condition that causes you problems and marijuana helps it or makes it more managable then it's OK. There is also another one that seems to be a bit of a catch all. "Chronic Pain" it has a very loose definition.

I think other states are similar to that so, if smoking weed helps with your endometriosis then it's probably a go. Now menstrual pain... if you are married that might qualify your husband!

Anyhow, I know I can get a green card it's just that I would like to have it with my doctors approval. If he says no I know how to find one that will say yes.

Smoking does ease the pain, it's still there most of the time but it's at a comfortable enough level that I can sleep at night and I only have to toke up a little in the evening although on the weekends I'm not at all opposed to the occasional wake and bake.

Michael, that's a drag it's in both arms, I get an occasional twinge in the right arm but nothing like the almost constant pain my left feels. The thing that really POs me with that is that the problem is in my neck but most of the pain is in my arm. That nerve is pinched so my brain thinks my whole arm hurts, I keep telling myself my arm doesn't hurt but it doesn't work.

Good luck to you too Lacy!

Just got out of my doctors appointment. He said yes without batting an eye. He told me he rather I didn't smoke it, he said I should make cannabutter or brownies or vaporize. I'll try to do that mostly but, there is nothing like a nice toke for those warm fuzzies and it's so tasty too. :blsmoke:

I feel dumb about being so worried about talking to him about it but I was and I guess for good reason. Doc said he wasn't a big fan of MJ but with my medical history he believes me when I say it works and he believes me to be a responsible person. I'm only the third patient he has approved for this.
