Wisconsin Outdoor Attempt

I have started my first outdoor attempt.
After so much back packing to find the perfect spots, digging, and soil hauling, I need to post a few pics. I should be able to update this regularly, as I do get out to the sites quite often.

Here is what I have;
3x3 holes with Fox Farm Ocean soil
10 Wonder Woman
10 Northern Lights
5 Aurora Indica
5 Master Kush
10 Others from Nirvana, but forgot the strain.
All are Fem.

All were started indoors at different times, and have all been topped with Uncle Ben's technique. As of today they are all around 20" tall, and I plan to keep them pretty short for security reasons. We have been having alot of rain and because of that they have not grown a lot in the past few days. When they do start to tzke off again I will be topping them regularly.
I have all plants covered with chicken wire and a very light covering over the natural soil over the potting soil, to help it to blend in a little. When they are big enough I will remove some of the chicken wire so they can grow right out the top, but still keep some wire to deter the rabbits.

I had many problems with groundhogs rooting in the fresh soil, so I let it sit for a week and allowed them to do their thing. When I returned to plant I also brought lots of eggs which I broke around the holes, because I read it helps to keep the bastards away.

Now things seems to be going well. They have been in the holes for 2 weeks and have more than doubled in size. I did have a few with lower leaves turning yellow, but it has seemed to resolve itself. I have not included all plants, just a few random samples. Unfortunately during the seedling phase, I mixed them up and have no real way of determining what strain each is anymore. That will not happen next year!

Looking good but next time build a proper fence with post holes ,wire etc. The plants are going to outgrow those things wrapped around them and they look a bit soft to stop larger animals.

you don't use post hole digger's in a guerrilla grow that would be way to obvious bro...lol

gotta remember stealth i do use stronger wire though but chicken wire work's fine you dont want a row of post's with barb wire strung on it now c'mon

Yeah I know they will out grow the little containers I have for them. When they get large enough I will cut it off. The way the chicken wire is now it is sort of like a top hat, with wire extending over the entire hole and then some and then over the top to prevent a deer from sticking his head down the hole. I did anchor the wire into the ground a few inches and drove many sticks into the ground like tent pegs. I read on a gardening website it might discourage the groundhogs from digging in the area if the chicken wire covered the ground and has worked so far.
I am not sure I could build something that would stop all animals and still keep it stealthy.

Do deer love weed so much they will do anything to get to it?

This area does have quite a few deer, but there is no hunting and tons of cornfields in the area. I might spend a few random nights in the area if it starts to be a problem. This year I planted so many with the thought I might lose a few to the deer, hopefully I have the other critters solved with the chicken wire, rotten eggs, and chili powder all over the area.

Here are the rest of the ladies I will be putting out in the morning.

You can see a couple have slight nute burn. They should survive.

The small plants were started at the exact same time, and they are Master Kush. The taller ones are AK47.

Anyone have any experience with Master Kush from Nirvana? I cannot seem to get them to grow as well as others. I had three die earlier this year, and two this run.

Have not left anything behind except the chicken wire, which I will take out with me when harvest comes. Well, I did leave some potting soil and plants too.

Without chicken wire I would have nothing to harvest. I do not want to go into specifics but this area is a "no mans" land I cannot explain how hard this area is to navigate because of all the briars and thorns. I am unsure of the acreage amounts but it very large and I spent about 40 or more hours scouting for the perfect locations and in that time I found exactly 1 piece of garbage, and it was very old.
Animals here have free range as the thorns and briars easy for them to navigate. No hunting allowed.

I will post some pictures when I take them to show some of my security techniques. Chicken wire in the middle of a field might stick out, but not here. Not at all. From 10 feet, you would not be able to see it.

Yeah jiffy cups. I like them except I grew indoors under t5's until they were big enough to go outside and the cups are barely able to hold up for that length of time.

I mostly used the square plastic pots so I could pack them into my small space. They work really well, but again you have to take them back out with you.

For awhile I used the window sill pot, with three in each. It is like 8'x14" . You will have to split the roots when you transplant, but they grew the best in them. Must have been the amount of soil that helped and no way were they going to get rootbound in there.

Thanks for the tip on the replellant. I have seen it, but thought It could not be as good as chicken wire. I am going to pick some up for the next visit to the area, could not hurt.

I planted the rest of the plants today, but forgot to snap pictures. I bring so much stuff out, I sometimes forget about the pictures. Plus I hate having a camera with weed pictures on it. I might have trouble explaining that to anybody if I ever had to.

A few more pics. I went and planted the rest of my plants and forgot about taking pictures until the last one. I was not even smoking any:roll:

I took a few of the area where the girls are growing. Hard to tell from the pics, but that grass is almost waist high already.

Hey, can I ask you what part of Wi are you growing in? I'm thinking about putting my girls outside for the summer but I'm not sure since the weather here has been shit. I'm afraid if I put mine outside they will get too much water or something and die.

It has been awhile since I was able to check on the plants, but I was able to head out today . I went out to water as most of my girls are on a dry hillside.

All of them were growing well. Most were out of the top of the cage and I had to carefully cut the cage off. I went ahead and topped all the plants again because I need to keep them pretty short.

The vegetation in the woods has started to grow in the past two weeks and many plants were hard to find.

Here is pics. The short plants are wonder woman, they are smaller but I think might be bushier.
