Winter Woman Shuts Down

Wow, that's pretty sad on a few levels.... It would have taken a lot for me to personally speak out, but kudos you did it. Why did you not try talking to the wife herself? I'm sure her perspective might be a bit different considering she's the one who needs the help.

I had to convince my mother that it was good, and I showed her Rick's video and she ended up swelling with tears. I remember talking to her after she saw the video and I asked her is she wanted to try it to lower her blood pressure and possibly prevent any recurrence of the breast cancer she once had, and to my delight she responded with, "there are more important things than the law." That's basically my motto now.

But yeah, sorry you had to go through that, it seems like a real eye opener.

You are right about talking to her. She is bedridden now and not getting around. Now I'm 1,200 miles away and won't be back for 2 weeks.

I actually thought he was so... so... so much more... progressive. My mistake is that I forgot he has been a straight arrow for as long as I've known him.

I'm not sure how it will be when I see him again. But, I can't imagine staying a member that's for sure.

I cant take credit for finding this, but i looked it up just for you :)

Genesis Chapter 1
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

You can only know that you tried to help someone ease their pain...you did what you thought you should.

Be pleased with yourself for caring...

Peace to you WW... xoxo,
Chichi

My preacher's wife is terminally ill with triple negative breast cancer. They give her a few weeks to maybe a couple of months to live.

I offered Rick Simpson Oil free of charge for as long as they needed it. I explained about cannabinoids, etc. What I got was unexpected. He asked if it was illegal and got into a real huff about it. If it had been me I would be willing to try anything, especially, after the doctors have given up on her.

For some reason I believe he called the police. So I shut down. Everything is gone, it's just killing me, this is the first time I ever let anyone know. And I did it because I wanted to help if I could.

Don't know when or if I'll ever start again, but I know it won't be there.
Good on you. Bad on him. He doesn't read his bible very closely :(

Btw my dog, Osteogenic Sarcoma, fed her some of the nicest Purple Kush I've ever had (in budder form). Vet gave me 2 options. Put her down or amputate her leg because she had her front left shoulder shattered from the tumor growing (couldn't be fixed realistically without major issues and I am not rich) and hope she lives another few months. 6 years later she's still with us and the vet is amazed. It spread to her lungs as well but it's no longer with her. Quite frankly your preacher needs a slap in the face IMO. Still, I am the same as you and I cannot just let someone die. Every chance I have gotten I've told my story, I haven't offered to supply though as I have never been able to afford it and only recently started growing my own.

Unfortunately these two people are case study #1 of why the world is completely fucked up right now. I hope it all works out for you WW.

Seriously though what the fuck is wrong with this man?

You offered them a free way to lessen her pain and sickness, make the short time she has left more enjoyable, allow them to enjoy the time she has left together.
And he shut it down becuase it's "illegal"?

What an asshole, makes me feel like he doesn't even love his wife.. People are so fucked.
Actually she offered a possible cure, that worst case scenario, will do the things you suggest (maybe even extend her life a bit for multiple reasons including anti tumor properties and of course the general well being and happiness as well as appetite being improved) and best case scenario will leave him with a happy and healthy wife for many more years (at no cost to himself vs what he would pay for conventional treatment).

relax in FLA and come back in a fresh state of mind and body and make your decision, but we all know you are compassionate and are going to start back up, the good ones just cant be kept down for long.

Wow, even worse she wasn't there. I just assumed :(

Talk to the lady yourself if possible IMO. There are countless testimonials out there. Good luck. This is an issue that is close to my heart (and probably everyone elses too).

I think the trouble is that if she tried an end run around this preacher (who probably takes the men-first bit dead seriously as well) and actually gave something to the suffering woman, that guy would turn her in for something much worse than "suspected growing". It's a no-winner at this point, and it could not have been made into a winner with Preach's uptight attitude. cn

WW, what reason do you believe that he called the cops? Did you tell him your were growing, or that you would give him oil? Simply offering oil isn't really that much of reason for LEO to bust you, and I assume you are MI medical?

I wonder how many atheists would've done the same thing in that position.

Just further evidence that Christianity - like many religions - is simply a circus of delusion. Pay 20% of your income, and YOU TOO can go to a building and imagine stuff that isn't real, with a bunch of other people who also aren't real! WOO!

I loathe religion: Pre-packaged spirituality for sale.

I'm perfectly spiritual without feeling any need to buy into whatever horse-shit some cocksucker preacher tells me.

But then, I'd also much rather stay home and cook a beautiful, home-cooked meal for myself, than go out with a bunch of other people to gorge myself sick on fast-food they tell me to eat.

I have a strong feeling we'll find, at the end of days, when all is said and done, that the tree-hugging hippy Atheists of the world will be the ones take their place beside the 'divine being', whilst the Christians and Muslims and other historically repressive, violent religious institutions will burn.

You're better off out of there, honestly.

I think you underestimate the influence a dying spouse can have on a person's opinion. JMO. At this point her supplying the lady is obviously a no go as she has cut everything down anyway, but there are other options. Sounds like she is from an MMJ state, so the woman has other options.

My grandmother died of stomach cancer when I was 15. My dad asked her if she would try smoking MJ.
Her answer was no that it was not legal and her Dr. had not said too. She died almost 1 year later.

I'm sad this has happened. You offered the best you could, some people
just can not get past petty shit,

It is still good to know that good folks like yourself still exist.

Perhaps, it's an immeasurable question really.

But where an Athiest would snitch out of malice or vengence, a Dickhead religious nut would do it for completely different motives: After all, "The law is the law". Atheists aren't as fanatical about stupid shit like that.

What I mean to say, is that at least if an Atheist rats you out, it's of his own accord. Not simply cos some fucking book or 'general attitude of the church' did the thinking for them.

Being a Snitch is low no matter WHO you are, of course, but this preacher appears to not even have called-upon the power of a single brain-cell when making his decision. He's just a parrot for a book that's only ever been used for pushing an agenda: You can translate the bible anyway you want, to fit whatever you want.

I almost can't fathom that in this day and age, people are still so fucking gullible.

Well atleast you tried. The guy sounds emotionally compromised because his wife is dieing soon.

He probably thought you were offering snakeoil.
